Well, there was ADV's White Knight...wow, so the Town and Country guy is still the only person that's gotten a top still?
That is GREAT news. Can't wait to hear/see all about it if you have time.I have finally been told by my local shop that my Anderson Composites top is ready to ship…as of last night. So maybe next week I’ll have my white Anderson Composites hard top…only 11 months after order.
I have one of the Anderson tops. It is amazing. Extremely well made, quiet as a church, and strong. Way better value than ADV and it is actually real!Anderson posted they have delivered 100 tops so far
TOR is prob not far behind or beyond that by now
ADV is running out of real estate. Ford is entering the market eventually haha
As soon as I saw 100% deposit I was out! Especially on a product that only existed in drawings.118 pages of a product that doesn't exist. Not much else to say besides get your money back now before it's too late and let's end this thread. This is well beyond taking peoples money to fund product development and manufacturing.
Happy for you man. Please post pics and initial impressions when you can. I’m currently waiting on the same white top from both AC and Tor and may go with who can deliver first.
I'm excited myself...11 months of waiting, it had to be white...That is GREAT news. Can't wait to hear/see all about it if you have time.
first, thanks again for the kind thoughts.Really pulling for you Roger but dang, that stinks to hear May
So to only recap the dates they have provided on the forum (working backwards)...

CT, how close are you getting to your TOR ship date?I asked on Monday and was told middle of May shipping.
early batch one reservation.
I am not optimistic, just hopeful
I have a date of Aug. 19th. But that is with the original production schedule. Todd told me that with additional production capacity it will be moved up. I am expecting a revised shipping date at any time. I figure adv s latest fantasy schedule and turns will be very close . when turn has me firmed up and is ready to ship -- I will request a refund from ADV. Im at the end of my rope waiting.CT, how close are you getting to your TOR ship date?
(If you don't mind my asking)
@Turn Offroad has a "flip-back" (I think) type solution in the works for their targa, eliminating the need to store in-vehicle.It's got to be some foreign business relationship/production issue. Otherwise if a local issue, I don't see why it has not already been resolved with at least some tops shipping out.
Does the two piece front section matter to you? I've got the OEM 2-door hardtop, and unexpectedly the two piece front section has been useful. I can stow both halves in back when going somewhere, if weather is questionable. I'd have to give some thought to losing that capability.
See, they got shipped to South America first, then put on a pack mule, carried over the southern Alps, put on a speed boat with "chacho" the smuggler, sped to point off the coast of Costa Rica, floated over to Mexico, packed onto ANOTHER pack mule train, who were robbed (natch) by an avocado cartel, helicoptered to a compound in Sinaloa, packed in with some Peruvian white, secreted over the border into Eagle Pass, left in a back alley in Toas, NM, then dropped into a shipping container, where they then went by train to Canada, which then rejected them, they got put on a barge through the Erie canal, ended up in New York, packed into another shipping container, driven by truck to Baltimore, where the Teamsters "lost" the delivery, then found it, then put it on a cargo ship, which then struck a bridge. Also, I hope we don't all get a notice that the cargo boat was going unload to but is backlogged due to the bridge collapse.
