I’m excited for you order holders if/when you get one. I was excited about this top when first announced and was on board- until I saw $6500-7k up front for something that was only a CAD drawing. I slammed the brakes immediately. I’m not giving anyone full money up front for something that’s not even a real product at the time. I put $100 plus $500 down for a bronco- knowing I could get both back if it took too long but I certainly would not pay Ford in full up front to get in line. At the very least I’d expect open and honest communication on what’s holding these tops up. You order holders are way way more patient than I. Had I been willing to give them 100% up front, I’d have taken a hike and asked for my refund months ago!
Good luck to all of you- I hope it turns out as awesome as it’s thought to be!

That‘s ridiculous.

Please post their canned response to the excuse, yet again. Based on that alone I may throw in the towel before the end of October - that’s BS.
But you're so close . . . yet so far away 😕

Oh my ,that just wiped out November and most likely December for anyone after the first wave.

Might not have to worry about a cold delivery date if this continues

So I'm a November 2022 order placer for reference, and just received this update minutes ago:

We expect your hardtop to ship in late November into December. We do apologize for the consistent delays. The issue stems from the suppliers. Every time we would request a new timeline, they would provide it. That timeline would come and it would be incorrect. We then in turn updated our customers upon request with new timelines. Our timelines were incorrect because the supplier’s timelines were completely inaccurate.

Unfortunately, we also had quality control issues that had to do with foam injection and paint and had to ramp down to get those issues dialed in. We are now FINALLY in final assembly, but at a slower rate than we ever expected, which is the reason for the delays. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your order has shipped.

If you do not wish to wait any longer, we completely understand and will offer a full refund. Please let me know if I can answer any more questions, I am happy to help!

I apologize if this information has already been discussed in this thread, but I'm curious if anyone has recently managed to secure a refund from them, and if so, could you please share the process?

The current situation appears to be beyond mere supply chain or quality control issues. It seems more like a problem with product management and delivery processes. While I understand the strategy of marketing a new product and providing influencers with 'Beta' versions to generate excitement, the fact that they haven't delivered a single unit in over a year and a half, all while maintaining minimal communication with those who invested 5-8k, is rather disappointing.

I believe that a simple weekly mass email update could go a long way in keeping customers informed. It could include details like: "The specific issue we're facing is <problem>. Our solution is <solution>, and although exact timeframes have been fluid in the past, for this update, pre-orders are projected to ship by <ship date>, with local installation timelines around <install date>."

Is it really too much to ask for this level of communication? I completely understand if ADV or B6G is unable to respond to individual comments (and there's a slim chance they'll even see this), but I strongly urge them to over-communicate at this point. They can adjust their delivery estimates as necessary, but the last update from ADV was over a month ago, mentioning, "Our previous post mentioned the final assembly concerns/issues (foam injection and paint) which have been addressed. An installation video will be released before the tops are shipped. Yes, October appears promising for the majority of orders."

Since that update, it's unclear what progress has been made with ADV other than influencers enjoying the 'beta' hardtops.

Did they at least offer you a bottle of lube while they continue to "make love to you" in a "non-consenting" way?

After so many days, they can't put it back on your credit card so they issue it through an ACH. They just need the following info:

1. First and last name on checking account (MUST MATCH NAME ON ORDER)
2. Checking Account Number
3. Checking Routing Number

Update from ADV today for a day one order (ordered within the first 10 minutes): I reached out to ADV for an update today and was told that my top will now be shipping in early NOVEMBER. I asked them to confirm that it will ship in November 2023 and also asked for some insight into this extremely slow production process. Will keep the group posted.
Shit, I'm in the same time-frame.
I am contacting them NOW.
Will post responses. This is bs, month to month bs

First Email Response Today: "We currently do not have any more supply chain or quality control issues which took up a big amount of production time. We are in final production, but at a slower rate than we EVER expected. We expect your hardtop to ship November (we are looking at early November!).
We are more than happy to offer you a refund if you decide you do not want to wait any longer. Again, we deeply apologize for these very frustrating delays. We feel very confident in this ship date as there any no more problems that are out of our hands."

Second Email to my Follow-Up Questions: "The slowness of production was completely due to the supply chain delays. We had to sit back and wait for the delays to be resolved before we could start final production. This was completely out of our control and set us back much longer than we ever expected. We feel confident about this date as those hiccups have been taken care of.
Influencers are not receiving the hardtop, nor would we ever ship them out to influencers when customers have been waiting for so long. We sent out 16 beta testing tops (not production tops) to industry experts that we can trust for feedback.
I totally understand the frustration! We are definitely trying to get your top shipped out as quickly as we can."

LOL, Mitch is an "industry expert"? Ok then.
