The "radio silence" concerns me too. (Although every time I've contacted them directly, they have responded right away).
They did state that they wouldn't be giving any more updates until they were ready to start scheduling deliveries, so they are either sticking to that, OR there is a huge unrevealed problem and they can't survive if everyone suddenly requests a refund.
This is why I wish some of the "influencers" who have received tops would chime in and let us al know how their ADV tops are holding up.
Are there any issues?
Is everything hunky-dory?
Are these things completely falling apart once they get a few miles on them?

Has anyone who demanded a refund actually received their new top from aAC. Or are those shipments being delayed.

Only thing I'll say is that many of us are paying customers, and holding both our money and the information for the thing you have been paid for is a bad look.

It's not justified, it just makes business sense to me. It's definitely egregious when money has been requested and taken.

My limit was 13months waiting and received my refund March 1. Received AC top mid May. No regrets.

Last I checked, they were close to 6 months out

At that time it was 12-16 weeks.

At that time it was 12-16 weeks. I guess when people saw that AC was available, they received more orders. 6 months out, yikes! Glad I was part of the early orders!

I’m sure orders jumped once people starting receiving them

I had also heard the lead times were growing because of delays getting the oem parts they use

Main reason I like the AC top- its OEM based. Compatible with other 3rd party offerings.

Update from ADV today for a day one order (ordered within the first 10 minutes): I reached out to ADV for an update today and was told that my top will now be shipping in early NOVEMBER. I asked them to confirm that it will ship in November 2023 and also asked for some insight into this extremely slow production process. Will keep the group posted.

Please post their canned response to the excuse, yet again. Based on that alone I may throw in the towel before the end of October - that’s BS.

I’m excited for you order holders if/when you get one. I was excited about this top when first announced and was on board- until I saw $6500-7k up front for something that was only a CAD drawing. I slammed the brakes immediately. I’m not giving anyone full money up front for something that’s not even a real product at the time. I put $100 plus $500 down for a bronco- knowing I could get both back if it took too long but I certainly would not pay Ford in full up front to get in line. At the very least I’d expect open and honest communication on what’s holding these tops up. You order holders are way way more patient than I. Had I been willing to give them 100% up front, I’d have taken a hike and asked for my refund months ago!

Oh my ,that just wiped out November and most likely December for anyone after the first wave.

Might not have to worry about a cold delivery date if this continues
