Was told yesterday things are taking longer than expected and won't be done until late July August...I also ordered first hour so outside of a few youtubers and instagram folks, everyone should have similar timeline. Sorry for be the bearer of bad news...

I don't understand why they wouldn't start shipping out now that the installation video should be out today. Wasn't it mentioned that they'd start as soon as this video came out? Start kicking completed hard tops out the door.

I've been supportive of the wait (thus far) and it being worth it for the price and time frame it's taken, but it keeps getting pushed back further and further is getting frustrating. I know folks, such as yourself, have waited even longer than I have.

I remain hopeful that ADV's engineering and production capabilities far exceed their communication, customer expectation management, and video marketing skills. The messaging in every new video release has just made me cringe....while still thinking the product itself is likely pretty solid. Add a personal pet peeve of not releasing actual dB numbers....

I'm really hoping one of you early buyers gets a hold of one of these soon and can post a more authentic feeling review, and maybe [gasp!] actual dB readings. I want one of these hard tops, but the videos/messaging have eroded my confidence.

I thought the rubber gaskets were the last thing they were waiting on?
I assumed they already had the sound deadening material.
not sure what could be holding things up another 2-3 months?

As I understand it, the soundproofing can be added after the top is installed. If they are delaying shipments after all this time now because of something that can be shipped separately after the fact. This is just a very poor decision. I believe for the past year that they have produced the hardtops while waiting for the moulding to arrive. This is a good decision. Then when the moulding finally showed up, they went full force installing the moulding for all the hardtops with the plan to get caught up with the year back log.
And when they finally get caught up to then go full force in shipping them. This is all well and good, but somebody who ordered a couple of months ago is on the same schedule of the aggrevated individuals that ordered at the very beginning. Me. I really would have hoped that they would have started shipping in batches and if the soundproofing is delayed, shipped that separately

I really feel for the purchaser of my soft top who is loosing another summer due to these continued new delays.
Also, the word soon , is days, not months.

Trying so hard to stay positive! Keep telling myself 'It's just a hardtop and this is a 1st world problem'

Not the install video yet. OEM w/ sound deadening headliner vs ADV with no headliner, but in the video they said there will be another video with the headliner installed.

Starting to think it is the headliner causing the delays. Everyone who has taken delivery does not have the headliner installed. I've seen three different ones delivered w/o the headliner. Time to start shipping w/o the headliner if that is the case. Really no excuses at this point. If there is please share.

Upgrades are not slowing the progress down. Final assembly is ramping up slowly so we can maintain the consistent quality we need. We will advise as soon as customer units start shipping. The only tops that have been delivered have been for BETA testing while we are working on final assembly.

Purely from a noise reduction perspective, 3db difference between adv and oem and losing modularity of oem, that doesnt seem like that much of a reduction? How much further reduction do you a anticipate the sound deadening headliner to add?
