I laugh every time I see someone comment they look good. It's only a render folks. They don't even have a real top fitted according to ADV yet, so even they don't know if it's going to work.
My eyes see something and it looks good. What does whether it has been fitted yet, or even going to work have to do with how it looks? Serious question.

I believe 695.00
Well, that price is the offset of the soft top. It's like the engine 2.7lts. It's not like you will be buying a. 2.7 from service department for $1.8k.

I guess we still need to wait what price Ford will be offering for the MIC as an accesory.

I have been pricing toppers for work trucks. Plane jane chopped fiberglass interior, non opening side windows single handle rear opening toppers that were $2k 18 months ago are almost $3500. An ARE with what we usually get (side opening windows that access tool boxes, rope lights, locks that open with vehicle door keyfob and color matched to the truck are over $5k. Oh and they are 6-12 months out.

I am not surprised at all... at $5500+

For the Shadow Black mod top, I believe it was $3950.
Not sure the price, on my mind I have $1.8k for that option before they took it away.

A render is nothing more than an illustration. It's not the real deal. No way to see the actual details.

You could be right. Time is slipping away. Hard to believe it's getting close to 2 years that this has been going on.

That price is ridiculous, just another outfit jumping on the bronco money gouging bandwagon, no ADM’s paid and no overpriced aftermarket junk

I'm sure everyone, myself included, would love to see a product cheaper than expected. I didn't know the price of this top before he posted it but the price didn't shock me and here's why.

1. This is not a mass produced hard top, the time and money it takes to produce this is very high. If you're a manufacturing company making 120,000 of these in a year and using inferior material ( I'm looking at you Webasto!), you can charge less because of volume/lower material cost.

2. Materials are high anyways, but insane in cost right now. I talked to ADV about the cost to make some molds for accessories that I wanted to produce. John walked me through some of the raw material cost for just the small molds, no labor, it was eye opening to say the least. I don't even want to know the cost the they are INVESTING into this platform. They are not just making one top either, because people wanted options.

3. They are the first to market. Call it whatever you want but I think those who are first to market deserve to make more money. Capitalism at its finest and if you're honest with yourself, you would do the same thing.

4. They couldn't make everything in house, they are a fiberglass company. Outsourcing to have custom glass made that I am sure requires an order minimum isn't cheap. Not to mentionable the other parts and this cuts into the profit.

5. You get what you pay for, everyone complained about the OEM hard tops. Guess what, they are right, the OEM tops really suck. So go get an OEM mass produced top for 4-7k, and then you can complain on here that the top sucks. You STILL have to pay shipping, that doesn't go away when you order from Ford. Oh, you want a painted top? Add lots of labor to make your OEM top paintable since the texture has to be sanded down, and then add some more for the actual paint. Not to mention that the paint has a poor history of lasting on this material over time... Don't lie to yourself, buy once and get the top that you want.

6. I'm all about supporting these smaller companies that invest into our hobby. USA made, and they actually give a d@mn about what they send out. The more we buy, the more products they have money to invest into R&D for more products. This company jumped on and went full speed with products for the Bronco, and I don't see them stopping with the hard top.

7. I think people are mostly upset because we were promised something by ford that didn't pan out. We had the choice of switching to a wavy soft top and getting our rigs earlier, or waiting and getting an inferior hard top. Either way is was tense and really frustrating to say the least. ADV didn't cause this problem, they are trying to solve it and run a business.

I'm thankful for @ADV Fiberglass stepping up to the plate and taking on the risk and investment of developing a hard top. I think they will still sell plenty of these.

Cheers, Austin

Someone had to say it... I'm not a fan of the price either, but that's our economy right now and all your points are valid. I don't have a truck now, so I'm just here for the eye candy and trying not to spoil it for the folks out there taking the risk to provide for the community. Well said.

I just wish we could get a Bronco sent without a top, take a discount on it for not buying the soft top and just drop this bad boy on and save money haha

Why can’t they at least offer the Klarna 4-installment plan like they do for their other products?

Installment plan not a bad idea. Look,
They are the FIRST aftermarket option on a hardtop. Supply chain and material costs have this priced in line with about where I expected it to be. I will be ordering one at the end of the month. I will be having it optioned to the nuts and painted to match my wife’s OBX. Know why? She wants a hardtop. We settled (like many of you) on a soft top.
