A Solution to Replace the "third" B&O Ctr Dash Speaker with 3 Matching Upgrades

Are you base blocking the center only?

No blockers added to any speaker. I’m under the impression that the stock head unit is setup to only send appropriate frequencies to the appropriate speakers.

I have a pair of Hertz DCX 100 for left and right front dash and PRV midrange with 300hz bass blockers and the sound is crisp, warm (great bass), and even phone calls sound great on them too.

Since cruchfield doesn’t do center channel speakers, I don’t know what meta adapter to get for it. I have a prv mid to install. Is the adapter the same as the sides? Thanks!

Contact Audiolux, they have done a few upgrades with the B&O system on the new Broncos, they also have a Youtube channel, two of the videos shows them working a Bronco, Contact https://www.audio-lux.com shoot them an email or give them a call, they are located in San Diego
Next month Audiolux will be upgrading my stereo system in my Badlands with Blam and Audison speakers and Heilix amp.

Their web page looks a bit underwhelming...no products after 4 years of operation, too busy?

I'm in the process of upgrading the b&o speaker setup in my 23 outer banks, with lux.

I was just wondering if anyone has performed an amp upgrade with the b&o speaker setup yet.
I'm not sure if it's fully necessary, it does sound great with new kicker speakers all around, and I opted for the 6.5 inch pods in the rear. Very balanced now.

Another question I have is if all of the speakers are Amplified from the B&O amp in the rear. I have read posts where the rear pods are not powered from the amp, and run off of the factory head unit

The front center and rear pods run off the factory head unit.

Spoiler alert: I'm presently doing a full upgrade on my B&O system. I won't go into details right now but look for a thread in the next few weeks.

Is there a consensus that 8ohm, or 4 ohm + resistor, is the viable option for the center speaker replacement?

No idea on the consensus but I installed a plain ol' 4 ohm speaker. Most car stereos expect 4 ohm.
