See, that's what I'm trying to understand and I'd love if someone can answer this exact question. How is it that some ppl who had orders from a year + ago are now getting scheduled and others who placed their orders this March are also getting scheduled? I understand it's due to constraints such as MIC, SAS, etc.. but still... Some scheduled orders from March have every single item on back order and are getting scheduled within few months. I placed an order for a 24 Everglades last week so I'm trying to set some expectations for myself and I can't really make sense of the whole scheduling thing
It’s all about allocations. And not necessarily dealers over selling. When this process first started, it was based on reservation order not allocations. But Ford took in way more reservations than they could build the first year and then started using the allocation model instead after the first year. I will give credit though to Ford and some dealers, they tried to clear out the old reservations this year before the PO’s expire, but that meant they were debiting the dealers next year’s allotment. This means many of the dealers who were very present on this forum early on won’t be getting any 2024 allocations for Bronco’s but they at least did everything they could to support their customers.

So just chatted with ford and they told me estimated arrival time is sometime between September 18th till 24th. So a month to travel 2 hours. I’ll be out of town at that time so I’m looking at 5 to 6 weeks before I take delivery.

And the allocation process is terrible. Total sales volume determines allocations per dealership. The more sales volume a dealership has, the more allocations they'll get. And sales volume counts fleet and retail sales (I believe). If you order from a dealership with decent sales volume, they will get more allocations than a smaller dealership, so you stand a better chance at getting your Bronco from a larger/busier dealership. To some degree.

Over selling is a gray area. When ordering reopened in March, my dealership was allocated 14 Broncos. By the time I realized ordering had opened, they had taken 17 orders. On the surface, this looks like they over sold. The catch here again is allocations. They were allocated 14 Broncos, but only 2 of them could be 2-door, only 6 or so could have Lux, none could be manual, and just a couple could have Sasquatch (I don't remember the exact breakdown or all the restrictions, I do remember there were 6 different restrictions). A total allocation of 14, but there's various restrictions within that 14, so taking 17 orders is fine if they're all different configurations.

When I placed my order, I was the sixth person to order a 2-door (they were only allocated 2 2-doors). You would think that meant I was out of luck. But, I didn't choose as many restricted items as the other 5 people ahead of me had, so I lucked out and my order was scheduled.

Well folks, I’m completely floored. My Bronco is on a train and headed to Missouri 😳 This is moving insanely fast!

Here’s the kicker, I called my dealer yesterday to talk final price and he said there’s no such thing as price protection, I can use my MY transition private offer but I have to pay the MSRP on the window sticker. Needless to say I’m going to talk to the sales manager and escalate as needed. Fun times, fun times.

So you pay the Window sticker MSRP and get the private offer as a refund after the purchase? I asked my dealer if I had to pay the price increase that’s on the window sticker, they said they won’t know until the bronco comes in. I called Ford marketing and they told me I have a $1,900 private offer. Now I have to translate that info to my dealer but I don’t know why they weren’t able to tell me the same thing

Dealers can give it to you up front or “send you a check”. In my case, my dealer said theres no such thing 🙄 I won’t go into all the things he said about getting info online, im sure you can fill in those blanks.

In my case, my Bronco has went up $5K since i signed the conversation to my2023. They are saying i should pay the additional $5k. Blah! I’m hoping the sales manager knows more. Ohh yeah, this is my 4th sales guy and the sales manager is new too! Ive never dealt with him before. 😣

I think this community knows more about how pricing works better than some dealerships. I hope it all works out for you.

Is this how all built emails are worded? Makes it sound like something was wrong when it came off the line. Could explain the month long delay in shipping.

Huh, for me it says “it’s been a good run” and it doesn’t work.

Yeah that link doesn't work for me. My blend date was today, I wonder what it will show that I can't already find on the other tracking links. The link for the modules still shows nothing.

The changes on the tracker seem to happen in the middle of the night, I get up at 2:30 am to go to work and the tracker would change sometime between then and 3:30 when I get to work.
