My front left brake line ruptured while out at Hidden Falls near Marble Falls, TX. Fortunately I was not on the trail but at my campsite when the line ruptured and lost all brake pressure. Pinched the line up stream of the ruptured line with vise grips to get home. If you have 74 Weld portals installed on your Bronco please go check the front brake lines with the wheel turned hard left and right(see pic). The top of the brake line near the swage Is where mine ruptured.
To 74 Weld‘s credit they have sent me new lines, left and right. I was hoping for overnight deliver but I will get them in a couple of days.

Are they sending slightly longer lines? That looks like they are a good 4 or 5mm, too short for that range of motion.

As to the brake lines themselves, ours that were supplied with the portals were of appropriate length, even with the extra droopiness from the RK coilovers and aftermarket UCA's. Is that a braided line? Ours came with rubber lines. Could you share more pictures of how the hose was routed? Something doesn't look right and I'm not certain with what is provided that the issue was something that 74Weld did. (assuming your caliper didn't or isn't falling off. The front driver is the primary issue when it comes to that)

Is this the 2dr White Bronco that was bought from a dealer in Ft Worth for a screaming deal?

For reference, here is how my lines are routed. Yellow highlight is the brake line.

Now, I know this looks much better than what most of the actual professionals are doing. It obviously takes more time, and time is money. Unless you are doing the work yourself.

You guys remember @ScLeCo, right? He had a professional shop do his stuff. If you guys want to have a hearty, jolly, booming, knee slapper of a laugh I could share a direct quote for the vetting process of a shop quinn wanted me to drive 600 miles to and get the portals replaced. On brake caliper brackets we know, without question, will loosen in less than 500 miles. The next suggested option was 800 miles away. I'm not joking. This was after I specified the current location of the bronco. He wants us to drive it 800 miles, and refuses to answer whether the vehicle is safe to drive on their current replacement brackets they sent.

But that isn't the hilarious part. Holy shit. I literally laughed out loud 😆 😆 😆 😆
