Got mine in, love it, big thanks to @boatingsunsation14, @Bubbbba and Steve for making this happen for us all 7MT owners.

Ugh, this post has me kicking myself that I changed my order to the White Bread during the waiting period even though I had my order in since day one. I would have likely received one of these and been happy. Luckily my credit card refunded me after however many months of BS from Curtis.

I just need to get off my ass and install the B&M short shifter…

I got my lockout lever and new shift knob last week. It feels so much more solid than the stock plastic. The anodizing on mine looks perfect. Quality product there from Steve!
Kinda wish I would have gone with taller knob option though.

Steve says he still has about 40 lockout levers ready to ship!

The anodizing issue was only with the first batch I believe.

This thing is SWEET. Can’t wait to get my custom knob from White Madness Garage.

Post yours up when you get it, hadn't heard of that one before. Looks nice with a great price.

Hi, all.

I've got the Boomba shift knob and I'm loving the look (and I'm sure the feel) of this lockout.

Just a couple questions for those of you who have installed this already:

1. Is the height of this lockout the same as the OEM plastic part? Meaning, does the shift knob sit at the same height as with the OEM, or is it higher/lower?

2. In terms of assembly instructions, are the videos at posts 50 and 51 still the best place to look, or does anyone have some other guidance? I watched those videos a while back, and it didn't seem as simple as I was hoping for, so just wondering if there's anything else to look at.

Thanks!

Same exact height/movement/size. You will not notice any difference outside of feeling like you’re pulling on something more substantial than thin plastic.

It’s not difficult at all. Honestly the hardest part is pulling the boot off of the console. Not that it’s hard, just get those trim tools on one corner and pull straight up. The clips are nerve wracking - but, once you get a hang of how they work - they’re all the same on the entire vehicle. I broke a few on my 2021 here and there. But, it’s because I wasn’t pulling straight out or was overcomplicating it.

Then make sure you have two thin eyeglass type screwdrivers to get the lockout off the mechanism. I tried with round pick tools first and it really wasn’t working. They need to be flat.

No problem!! We have more if anyone wants one.
I just sent Steve an email on this. I just cracked my stocker installing a new shift boot. This will complete my setup with a Twisted Shifter knob, aluminum adapter, and Redline boot.

… just a bump for a great product for our manual transmissions. Machined AL lockout.

Just ordered another one. Friend drove my B and wants his upgraded too along with boot and shift knob.

Their current stock is black anodized. Thanks Steve
