BCM. (Body Control Modules). Basically the electronics that control the multitude of items in the vehicle. Means the vehicle has smarts to run now.


“Body Control Module in automotive, makes use of the vehicle's bus system (CAN, LIN, etc.) to communicate with different ECUs in the vehicle. This module can be considered to be the brain controlling different body parts (different ECUs) by sending and receiving signals through the nerves (vehicle BUS).Mar 18, 2020”

My tear tag just popped up

Blend date 7/18, place in line 3/491. Got a tear tag by 7/20 (maybe sooner but didn't notice until last Thursday AM). Still saying In Production. Was told via ford chat delivery expected 8/6-8/14.

I was told by Ford Marketing the same thing yesterday but I'm not really believing it.

Still in Production. 7/19/23 Blend date. Modules are live and vehicle found by Ford Pass. Now waiting for Built and Shipped emails........and waiting......and........

Got my built email this morning, ford tracker showing shipped status, got railcar number from Ford Chat (and estimated delivery 8/12-8/18), New Brunswick automated system doesn't have tracking info yet for railcar. Getting close!

What is a tear tag and how can I check? My wildtrak has been in production since 7/19.

ford chat said I should be expecting deliver 8/5 - 8/11 but doesn’t seem right.

Tear tag is produced when Emissions test is done. See:
