Your speculation is right on target. Talked to Ford since mine was in Production since 7/19. They said they stay in production until released to a carrier.
Same here. Still in Production. Nothing since 7/19. Dealer said released to Carrier but still shows in MI. No holds, missing parts or damage. So who knows......

Marketing said mine has secondary status of "Produced" with estimate of 8/14 - 8/20 but warned me it is "subject to being extended". Offered certificate "since it is at the end of the build year". Waiting for email and more information on what that means.
