Howdy,

I am looking at adjusting my clip position on the Front & Back 6112 shocks. I know on the front shocks I will have to remove them, but what about the back shocks?

On the back it looks like I can get my spring compressor on there without removing the shocks. Is that a bad idea, Ive heard of other folks doing it with no issues? Do I need to remove the top hat to have enough room to adjust the perch clip position? Looks like if I compress the springs enough I should have enough room to adjust the perch position. Or I am just playing with fire?

Thanks all!

I used two spring compressors without removing shocks on the rear for 6100s. The rear springs I have are about 200 lbs/in and I was going from 2nd lowest setting to lowest setting to drop CG some. So not needing to compress springs very much. Not sure I would recommend this if you are going up to a high preload.
