4DR Bronco Hardtop Order from Ford Accessories

For those who haven't seen it yet, Ford is now offering the hard top as a standalone accessory. https://www.ford.com/product/4dr-bronco-hardtop-p2937741774

At present, if you order today, it says it'll be at your dealer by November 10, or it would ship to your home by November 8. I ordered mine October 30th, with an estimated delivery of November 4 at my dealer. When I called today to ask where it was, the rep from Ford that I spoke with told me, "Oh, that's a hard top order. That could take up to a year."

Not sure if anyone else has run into this wonderful surprise just yet.....needless to say, not happy.

It still shows as pending on my CC, but yes, card info had to be provided upfront.

Bummer that they are saying it may take an entire year! I hope they pull through sooner for you!

I ordered mine on the 3ed and had a shipping date of the 8th. I received a email with order info. Was also showing pending on my card. I called Friday and was told two to four months. I asked the customer service representative if it was in stock since there was a shipping date and she couldn’t give an answer. Now the charge is no longer showing on my card. Not looking good.

Not to worry. Ford's system will continue to put a hold on your card after the previous one expires without being charged. You'll see that hold come through again, and again, and again.

Ford probably won’t actually charge the card until it ships. I hope it works for you!

Good news! Mine actually shipped today and should be at my dealer by week’s end. Keep an eye on your order status. It could ship without warning.

I ordered mine October 30th as well with same anticipated arrival date and was told it by a ford rep it could take up to 12 months. Ford has been keeping the payment pending on my CC. Did your payment go through and did it just say “shipped” under order status? Hope you enjoy the hard top!

It’s still “in transit to dealer” at present. Honestly not surprised since it’s making its way out to Oregon and the Cascade passes are all snowed in. The charge showed as pending on my CC until the day after it shipped when it finally posted. Hopefully yours ships soon!

Just to update folks on the timeline. It arrived in Oregon on Tuesday of this week and was installed today.

So, ordered October 30th, arrived at my Ford dealer November 19th, installed on the 22nd. Couldn't be happier with the switch to the hard top!

I for one wouldn't buy an oem hardtop. Look at how many problems they have. Why not go with a better aftermarket top?

Three words: Advanced Fiberglass Concepts. Add to that the wait times and differing styles (some have slanted rear panels, some have no removable midsection, some are just ugly, etc.)

The Ford OEM one comes with a two year warranty anyways. If it’s gonna have problems, it’ll have them before then.
