Let me start off by saying that I’m not trying to bad mouth or call out anyone here, just frustrated by the situation.
I ordered a set of Bilstein 8112’s through Panda Motorworks on Black Friday. The front shocks shipped basically right away and arrived early December. I was told the rears were on back order and would ship mid January. Sucks but I figured I’d get them just in time for my trip to King of the Hammers. Well mid January came and went and still no shocks. Panda had said that they were waiting for an update from Bilstein. I spoke to some people in the Bilstein booth at KOH, and they were surprised by the wait and said they weren’t aware of any back orders on those shocks (granted they might not be fully informed of their availability). Long story short I got an email from Panda today that the shocks now aren’t expected to ship until end of March. I have emailed Bilstein support separately but have yet to hear back.
Has anyone else dealt with a wait this long for 8112’s? Would be a 4 month wait by the end of March. I get that these are hand built and all, but I am just a little confused how the eta changed that drastically, especially when the fronts were available.
