265 to 285 Damage

OK I've gone down the rabbit hole of tires...looking for opinions and guidance.

Will moving to a 285's from the stock 265's damage drive train components. This is a daily driver non sas 2.7 Black Diamond.

Diameter is more significant than width. You are easily good for 35s. For 35s try to stay with a wheel offset near +30mm and you are as good as stock. If you are running 33s then I would stick with the stock +55 offset wheels.

I recently switched from 255’s to some Badlands wheels and 285’s

I put 285/75 17 on my non sas Badlands. They're maybe a 1/4 inch shorter than sasquatch tires.

I put 295/70r17s on 17x9 wheels on my BD and havent had an issue. Will be going to 315s soon when I have to replace them.
