Greetings all,
I was at the Chicago auto show and I noticed something new on the 2 door hardtop. Wondering if this is new for the 2026 MY.
There is a rubber seal/weatherstrip in the gap between the hardtop and B-pillar trim.
I have a 2023 2 door and do not have this rubber seal/weatherstrip. Just an open gap. When I wash my truck I sometimes get water inside from this area. I stuff paper towels in there when I wash it and it prevents the water from shooting in.

I would like to add this on mine. I was planning on buying some kind of generic weather strip on Amazon to stick on there but if Ford has a specific part for it that would be preferable.
Wondering if anyone has any info on this. Hopefully a part #. I have been searching but haven’t found it yet.
Thanks!

The MY'26 Broncos have just started to make their way to customers. Often times, it take a bit for new parts to populate the parts catalog. I noticed that is a body color painted HT. Shouldn't matter on the construction as the weatherstrip should be applicable to all HTs.

You would likely be better off consulting the crowdsource threads on how to reduce MIC top noise. There are various recommendations to use readily available weatherstripping from Amazon. It will likely be a lot cheaper and quicker than waiting for the OEM part that will cost 5x as much.

I just stuffed some foam in mine. The resulting reduction in wind noise was less than overwhelming. It probably helped some, but the difference was small.

I did the same thing back in 2024. Tried foam first to see if it would help the wind noise and it did considerably. Went with a rubber seal from Amazon permanently shortly after..

I think it was new for 2025. Both my Job 1 4dr has it, as well as Job 2 2dr.

I saw your video with the foam. When you did the permanent mod with the rubber seal did you remove the foam or put the seal on top? Did you have to remove the clamshell to put the seal on?
I did the z-strip rubber seal on my MY'22 Black Diamond. It required me to unbolt and scooch the rear clamshell back about 8 inches leaving it resting on the chassis sill. At the time, there was other weatherstripping suggestions that I also affixed at that time.

I would suggest loading up the Amazon cart with all the weatherstrip suggestions and then affix all while you have the top unbolted so you don't have to keep doing it for every fix/suggestion.

Yeah that's probably what I'll do. Believe it or not, having owned this thing going on a year and a half now I've never taken the clamshell off

I believe it. I'll never have my top or doors off. Wasn't the reason why I bought the Bronco.

My '22 Black Diamond 2-dr MIC top was noisy as heck requiring me to consult the crowdsource fix/suggestion threads. My '23 OBX 2-dr MIC top is so much quieter so I never bothered to fill the gaps. But I'm now rolling the dice with a warranty replacement as the spider cracks have gotten worse. Hopefully, I get a good one. But am prepared to fill the gaps if needed.

Yes I installed the rubber trim and took out the temporary foam when I had the top off last year.

I've got a Sunrider on year-round and did some of the hacks to make that quieter with weather stripping which helped a good bit. Then just recently got the hot head liners for the clam shell and Sunrider and it's a big difference. But now that little bit of wind noise that sounds like it's coming from this area (right behind my head) is amplified.

It must have been a change starting with the '24 model, as my '24 has this seal.
