I stopped looking at the tracker for a couple of days, checked today and my Bronco was updated to built yesterday, took about a month of being in production

Now this could be it?

Ford is recalling certain 2025 Bronco models due to a potential airbag issue. Specifically, the active vent flap on the passenger-side airbag may not open as designed during a crash, potentially leading to the airbag deploying with excessive pressure and increasing the risk of occupant injury. The recall affects an estimated 2,272 vehicles. Ford became aware of the issue after an airbag supplier, Joyson Safety Systems, discovered a problem during testing.

Details of the recall:
  • Affected Vehicles: 2025 Ford Bronco models produced between April 26, 2025, and May 12, 2025.

  • Issue: The active vent flap on the passenger-side airbag may not open as designed during a crash, potentially causing the airbag to deploy with too much pressure.

  • Cause: The issue stems from a broken plastic flange that holds the micro gas generator in place within the airbag module.

  • Safety Risk: Increased risk of injury to the occupant due to the airbag deploying with excessive pressure.

  • Remedy: Ford will replace the affected airbag modules at no cost to owners.

  • Timeline: Ford will begin sending interim notification letters on June 28. A second letter will be sent when the remedy is available. Customer notification letters will follow in the period from July 28, 2025 through July 31, 2025, according to autoevolution.

I assume “it being” why some are delayed and being held for QA stuff.

Yes that is correct but I have ordered a 2.7 V6 so that is not the reason for the hold.
Yeah it doesn't appear to be drivetrain related. Ford already has active recalls on Takata airbags on several other model lines so it's possible Takata has had a bad run on almost all the airbags they supplied Ford. On a positive note, my Bronco just cleared on Sunday and is now "Built" and ready to ship status so keep the faith people as there's light at the end of the tunnel for all of us.

What was your build date? Great news on it moving to the next step.

It was build the week of 06/02 as scheduled (my salesman showed me screen shots that say it was "produced" at the end of that week) but was then put on the QC hold until Sunday.
