My question is are you able to order the oem raptor running boards as an accessory - not part of your dealer order? I’m not able to find them on my search of the Ford accessory sites.
You cannot order them as an accessory... yet... but that may change. The overall trend as of late is Ford is removing factory-installed options and instead making them available from either Ford Accessories or Ford Performance Parts. Truthfully we have no idea if that is actually the master plan, but it makes sense a lot of sense.

That said, you should be able to order them through the traditional Ford Parts channels via your dealership. Once 2025 is in production, you'll likely have to go ask your dealer's parts counter to verify one way or another, and check what the cost will be.

Regardless of Ford’s intent, the product we got didn’t really have anything to set it apart. Once they added HOSS 3.0, yes, but that could be added to a badlands in the aftermarket just like the sway bar disco/rotator or whatever you want to call it. It makes sense to consolidate the two. As far as light duty bolt ons, isn’t that what both of these trims are? Lol. Also not sure how buying, installing, and wiring up a whole new sway bar assembly is just as easy as changing a couple numbers in a free to use software program but sure…
Sorry for the double reply. It is basically semantics. Ford went down this road with brandable trim names instead of simple codes to create engagement and following. They could have simply had a base, and packages along with powertain options. But they pieced milled together branded trims complete with colorway identifiers and badging. Whether good or bad it does lead to the mimics and copies like faux f150 raptors and semi or fake toyota turds with widdle waddles.

OK, if I read this correctly they've taken the console-mounted grab handle off of the Outer Banks and pushed it to the Sasquatch package. I'll just call that the cash grab handle, Ford.

And of course, they're continuing down the path of making 4A available only SAS as well.

I'll keep my '23, thanks. Correct color, very nice feature set. I'll have to wait for the configurator to play around and make sense of the new configurations.
Negative Ghost Rider, the Black Diamond package has it with the 4.46 rear locker.

The cactus grey being dropped from the heritage edition will be missed ,It was the only colour available on them that didn’t have too much contrast and really toned down that Oxford white. To the grave with mine

The Stroppe really just looks like an appearance package to me. A WT with different livery. Not that that's bad, but I do wish they'd done something other than the black hole interior with fancy stitching.
Agree. Just sprinkled some different color glitter on it.

So, a person can not get a 2 door Bronco with just a rear locking diff. If you want a 2 door with a locking diff you have to go full Sasquatch or model that includes Sasquatch. Sad. Had they offered the rear locker on the Base it would have created a sweet spot for cheapskates like me. So happy i got what I got when I got it.

And no 2 door Heritage, that's just beyond stupid.

And rear seat climate vents. Funny that isn't included in the 2 door, since all the hardware would be the same.
Well, you can, if you buy a base and replace the rear axle.

Unless Ford comes through with some amazing Base pricing, I'll probably also be driving my $28k Base manual 2-door to the grave.

Although, if moving back out west at some point, I might consider dropping in a set of 5.13 geared Ford locker axles, similar to what forum member @Dusty did with his rig.

Also sad to see Race Red dropped from the paint lineup. I like my current VB color a lot, but might have considered a future RR Bronco. Alas not to be.

Parts of the manufacturing process are different. The 2dr obviously has a gunner hatch which for many was the quintessential aspect of the MOD top, and it was hoped to be included on the 4drs, along with the smooth painted surface. The removable windows went through a number of prototypes and ultimately Ford scrapped them due to issues.
Yes. I meant aside from the obvious manufacturing differences of hole for hatch and not putting in fixed windows. I think/hope that you are wrong, since they are demoing Raptor's with accessory areas and removable windows. and gunners tops were never ment to be on the 4dr MOD HT.

Well, for many people doing the wiring and bolting is a whole lot easier than dealing with software. I would venture to say that most or equal numbers of people that do their own wrenching, would rather deal with the bolting and wiring then f-up a back up file or typing in the wrong code in the wrong section, etc. For this subset, it probably wouldn't be all scary once they do it, but at the outset, they will be glued to youtube or reading and rereading some line by line description of steps. Yes, all trims have the potential of getting lots of bolt ons depending on packages and options. The badlands and black diamond just have light duty skid plates and rock rails which once coupled with the light duty steel bumpers that are standard make for a heavy vehicle for quite a few throw away items. Depending on years you could have optioned vehicles to be very similar.
I would agree, especially if it involved serious coding, but with the YouTube tutorials adding the drive modes is very easy. Stock rock rails and steel rear bumper definitely leave some to be desired, tho I think the modular bumper is one of the better options available. Stock skid plates are decent, but definitely need a trans skid if you have an auto.

Literally parts of the manufacturing process are different or that is what has been concluded. I work with composite like this, but I have never seen a "MOD" top up close, so I can't say how different they are or not. But apparently they are different tops. The easiest way to think about it is, other parts like fenders, grilles, mirror caps, door handles, come as MIC and paint ready. This is typical of the auto industry and these parts are manufactured with different plastics. I know the hatch was never intended for 4drs, but it was a hope and dream when the first schematics were found. However, with all or most of the modularity gone, it really shouldn't be called the MOD top anymore.

Any chance that desert sand is metallic? Id love that. I guess that would technically be more like “beach sand” though.

Technically it's not anymore ... compare the '23 OG to '25 ... the word modular is even removed from the 4 door Heritage.

I however ... will continue confusing everyone by calling it as such because there is a difference between it (modular and painted) and the MIC top.

Only thing I’ve read so far that I want are the vents for my kids in the back. But the hvac system is really good already so…. I’ll stick with my (suddenly rare) Wildtrak!
