I have a 2024 2 Door Black Diamond. I don’t have the mid or lux packages. I’m trying to figure out if I have an actual sub and amp in my vehicle, or if I have the dummy units. I downloaded my window sticker, and all I can find for the audio setup is “AM/FM,7 SPKRS,SDARS”. Does the 7 speakers mean it has a sub?

Welp, I guess that’s what I get for not doing my research first. I assumed I had the dummy stuff and ordered a fusion amp and kicker sub. I guess it’s better to find out now than after I took the trim panel off.

Trust me, the upgrades will be better. Though I hear the 25s have a better-sounding system, the B&O in the 21s, while not horrible, could stand an upgrade. I have now finished with Alpine at all speaker locations, a Kenwood Excelon 5-channel w/ IC6 DSP, and a Kicker Comp RT.

Sounds so much better.

I obviously won’t need the amp, since I believe the fusion amp I ordered is the same specs as the one that comes with it. The Kicker sub I ordered is linked below. You think it will be a big enough improvement over the stock sub to still install?

Honestly... no. Not without an amp to drive it. You will get a mild improvement, but I don't know it's worth tearing the entire back end apart to do it.

Now, if you want to do a bigger amp with it, then absolutely.

Thats the Sub I run, and I would agree with @Brian_B, I am not sure how well the OEM amp can drive that sub. I have a Kenwood Excelon pushing 500W to my solution, so it hits nicely. I also have the bass control. If you are going to add that sub, I would say at least get the kicker amp for the sub to help drive it.
