Okay so I currently have a Kicker CXA8001 amp and 1 Kicker L7 installed. Whenever I'm driving down the road and hit 2000rpm i can hear the engine revving through the woofer until about 2700 rpm. I'm just going to assume this is a grounding issue. I've tapped into the right and left floor speakers. I found a wiring diagram that detailed which wires were negative and positive and just used a T Tap to connect to them and I got some speaker wire and soldered that to my RCA's because my amp supports high filter output. I thought that since I had the rca's and the power wire running down the left drivers side that maybe that was the issue however I removed the rca's from under the trim and had them sitting in the middle of the car just to see. Also I used a multi meter and tested the ground to look for any drops. But everything seems to be getting a normal reading. Ive got my woofer and amp located in the back cargo space. I've tried the factory ground on the left side panel and then the other factory ground on right side panel where the factory woofer and amp are installed. So far i haven't had any luck figuring this out. If anyone might have a solution it would be greatly appreciated!

My RCAs and power wire are ran next to each other and no issues. Make sure your amp has a good ground. What kind of power/ground wires and what gauge are you running? Have any pics of the setup?

Don't depend on a factory grounding point for an amp that big, especially if the ground points have other things attached as well. I drilled a new grounding point in the floor under the cover right behind the rear seat for my Amp rack and it's a good solid ground with no noise n it...

2023 and up are outputting engine noise through the speakers. You can use forscan to remove it. Look for a value in ACM called “Engine Noise Enhancement”. (Not “as built” but the other)

Yes, Engine Noise Enhancement is the culprit. You're amplifying the bass so much that your engine sounds like a beefy V-8 now. :)

Go into your audio settings and turn off any enhancing features

You will need to read up on the ForSCAN tutorial. A quick Google search should suffice. There are also endless sticky posts on ForSCAN for the Bronco. I will not walk you through this because if you can't complete this step, you should not mess with it. Have a shop that knows how to and avoid a potential headache, bricked ECU, and other unintended value changes. DO NOT MODIFY ANY HEX VALUES!!!

For this specific value, you can try to see below and if it makes sense. All models and years seem to have similar values, but they may not say exactly the same year to year. So do your due diligence and make sure your model specifically does not have something different.

1. Plug in OBD2 Scanner to car
2. Ignition on (DO NOT START THE CAR, foot away from clutch)
3. Run ForSCAN (Optional depending on adapter: OBD2 switch set to HS-CAN)
4. Software tells you to switch to MS-CAN, switch and continue
5. Presented with a range of options. Click the spanner ICON.
6. Go into ACM (not the as built, but I think it was called ACM procedures) Could be located somewhere else, but you should be able to use the search function.
7. There is an option called engine noise enhancement, most if not all, are set to enabled.
8. Set it to disabled, and run the procedure, commit the change into the vehicles memory and power off after confirmation.
Here is the info I found on the FENG using ForSCAN. Cannot see it on the spreadsheets as we do not have a Bronco specific one.
1. Plug in OBD2 Scanner to car
2. Ignition on (NOT THE CAR, foot away from clutch)
3. Run ForSCAN with OBD2 switch set to HS-CAN
4. Software tells you to switch to MS-CAN, switch and continue
5. Presented with a range of options. Clicked the spanner ICON.
6. Go into ACM (not the as built, but I think it was called ACM procedures - I will edit this post with pictures when I can)
7. There is an option called engine noise enhancement, mine was set to enabled
8. I set it to disabled, and run the procedure
9. Turn the ignition off (NOT THE CAR, foot away from clutch)
10.Turn the ignition back on (NOT THE CAR, foot away from clutch) and verify changes.

ajito -
In the version I’m using - and the current beta - there is no plain English ACM, just the As-Built/hex. I’ve done a ton of Forscan on my 2023 Wildtrak but never was “missing” part of a module. What version Forscan are you using, maybe they dropped an option from the newer ones?
