2023 2.3 AC just died - advice needed

The AC in my 2 door 2023 Badlands just quit working, blows hot air.

Before scheduling a repair at the dealer is there anything I can check on my own? I did push all the fuses down to ensure they are seated. Is there a specific fuse for the AC? I've searched but not found it.

Appreciate any advice.

Yes, it will get scheduled tomorrow at the dealer. Just curious if there's something simple I should look at and avoid making the trip.

look at the plug on the compressor make sure it is securely seated.

Keep us informed on what the dealer finds please. My 2022 2.3L manual 81k miles, blows cold randomly but mostly hot air. Need to make an appt w/dealer yet.

In the winter I have the heat on, sometimes it will blow cold. I move the dial over to the cold side then back to the hot side then it will start blowing warm. Odd.

just had mine repaired last month. crack in the evaporator box at the firewall attachment. took a couple of weeks to get the correct parts. my local dealer did a stellar job keeping us informed

I have to recharge mine every Spring, it takes half a can of R1234. Blows cold all summer. Then next Spring - low again

I’m sure there’s a small leak somewhere that only appears when it gets cold and contracts or something. But so far it’s been relatively tame and easy to adjust for since I’m out of warranty and don’t feel like tearing the dash apart to get at the evap or anything

Makes me wonder if I have a crack/leak somewhere. Just got back from a 3-week overlanding trip out west. Dirt road trails in Utah were brutal, everything rattled.

the dealer mentioned they've seen several bronco's and F150 with this failure recently, but mine was the first 7MT

I also interested in what the dealer says. 2022 2dr Black Diamond 7MT with 91000 miles. The AC is intermittent, sometimes it is cold and sometimes it is not so cold.

Mine has only 37K miles. Thankfully I bought an extended warranty from Grainger. AC was working great, then died. Hope to know more soon.

didn't they issue a heat advisory last month up there?

( i remember visiting the scandanavian countries during their first heat wave back in the 80's. no A/C and all the buses had windows that didn't open.

I love this idea, but I can't stand winters anymore.

I know the feeling (I was born in MN). Left in 1995 for Scottsdale, moved to SoCal in 2000, and to ID in 2016 (got tired of the heat). Snow is not that bad here in comparison to MN.
