This has been something that has been in my mind for a bit.
Has the hitch deflection been measured under full winch load?
Meaning, with standard Bronco, front is chained to "immovable object." 12K winch installed in rear with rope pulled out to the last wrap on the drum. When the winch is pulled in until it stalls, what is the deflection measurement in the rear hitch support? And does it return back to zero when tension released?
Knowing the Bronco doesn't have too high of a load rating, and with 2 or 3 times safety for shock load, wondering if it might be approaching "plastic deformation" of the hitch beam attachment.

Curiosity. :)

After seeing the week cross member that the hitch attaches to I wouldn't be inclined to winch from the hitch unless it was a dead straight pull.

Yep, why I was asking the question, has this ever been tested. I have doubts on the rear hitch. :)
