2 Door Window Rattle/Knock

Does anyone else notice when the window is 2" - 4" down and you go over a bump the window makes one hell of a rattle/knock noise?

It's not just 2 door. I'm getting window slap with my 4 door when the windows are down around 4". Never had a frameless door so I just assumed it was the nature of the beast.

I have a new one for you.. I'm getting this window rattle when the driver's side window is UP all the way even.. happens when I go over a severe bump that shakes the car sideways.. sounds like the window is going to break every time.

You're not alone. I don't hear this often, but I've heard this on the highway with certain bumps. Same as what you're saying, not so much if it's a head-on bump that both wheels hit at the same time, but more for bumps that affect one side more than the other, with a sideways shaking like you said. And yes, it's a loud slap-slap-slap when it happens.

I have the rattle too.
Only when going over uneven road or bumps when I leave 2" - 4" window gap opened.

I just assume it is how it is built... The glass is kind of flimsy. Not sure if a TSB adjustment can fix it.
Though if anyone has positive experience after dealer visit for this do let me know...

Just back from the dealership. Wow, they did the adjustment and no slapping at all. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone out there who is having this issue. They have even ordered new window rubber trim that the window rests against. Even without the new weatherstripping, the slap is gone.

Oh yea absolutely. Living with it for now. Will look into that SSM but it states for the soft top. I have MIC.
