2 Door order atttempt failure and availability question

I'm in Fairbanks, so Seekins.

Kendall in Anchorage has "market adjustments" listed in a bunch of their vehicle pricing and we would rather purchase from what will be the servicing dealer as it seems to make life a bit easier in the long run.

Grayed out and unable to be selected.
If she wanted to order a 2.3- 4 Door- Big Bend or Outerbanks we'd be waiting on OUR (well her) Bronco right now.

Bummer their system is either screwed up, or it's Ford holding things back for a bit.

Been this way a while now. I suspect reservation orders covered enough production to fill up the year. Same has happened with Maverick Hybrid, enough orders already to take the whole year to build so they won't take anymore.

Went in to local dealer on Friday of last week to order the wife her Black Diamond 2 door. Local dealer here straight up could not order a 2DR of any kind.

Went back Tuesday to try a different package route to see if maybe that was what triggered the non-availability. Still no bueno. The only thing not grayed out were Big Bend and Outer Banks soft top , 4 door, 2.3's.

Is this a global thing, or a find a dealer in another state type thing?
Next closest in-state dealer is 350 miles away......

I know the 2 door is in short supply, but to not even be able to order is more than a bit annoying, and a little confusing.

Any idea what exactly we are likely up against here?

Try building in B&P and ordering it online specifying your dealer. They may not be able to enter anything but a base, OB or BB 4dr softie at this point. It may be only customer online reservation orders.

We are picking ours up at Kendall ANC sometime in the next two weeks. Day one reservation, no ADM. I 'think' if you order one, you don't get ADM. If a stock unit hits the floor, then all bets are off. I understand you'd like to do business with the dealer where you live. I assume it is some type of glitch, otherwise they have very low allocation. I'm not sure how many they have sold so far. I did see one last week with a Seekins plate driving in ANC, so they have delivered at least one.

Good luck. I also say hold out for what you want. They are totally worth it. We went to Off-Roadeo Tx and spent a day in them.

Yeah, we aren't taking anything but what the Missus wants, and that ain't rolling onto the floor anytime soon as a stock unit. At one point we owned 4 first gens(wish I'd kept them) so actually seeing one in the flesh and from behind the wheel was critical to deciding to order so we are a bit "behind" because of that.

My guess if you order a 2Dr today your wait will be 12-18 months minimum, unless your dealer has some crazy open allocation that you luck into.

You could be right. But I will feel lucky to get my 2dr in 12-18 months that was reserved in July of 2020.
I don't think people understand how many are waiting.
