They’re delivering mine today and had me activate Ford Pass while they were in the car, just so I could watch it come to me. Lol.
Just picked her up and I couldn’t love it more I am so impressed by the ride, the interior, everything. It was truly worth the wait! Wood house ford made everything so easy; had zero issues.

Woot! Fingers still crossed for our remaining 10/31 build week hold-outs to get theirs before years end. Seems like a long shot with the chip delays but still hopeful for y'all.

Couple things I've learned with my 2 door manual:

1) Sport mode is where it's at. I have the advance 4x4 and it uses 4A in Sport, I'm gonna try this mode in 2H some but this adds just enough pep in the 2.3L to make it seem significantly less of a slouch. Didn't change my driving habit much so still getting 19.4 mpg mixed city/highway. I've currently only used 89 octane fuel.

2) Had a chance to take the front top panels off and drive home from work, 100% would recommend. Also in light rain no water seems to come in through driver and passenger windows at speed with fully open windows, which is really nice (with top panels on obviously).

3) Undoubtably the dealer is gonna get wax on your black plastics, make take several days to show up. Get one of those white hi-polymer square pencil erasers. Removes wax residue from mic top, handles, fenders, grill like magic. Don't let this wax bake-in and discolor your plastics.

Delivery to the dealer pushed back to 12/17. Anyone know how to file a complaint? Was trying to avoid sending an email to the executives but may have no other choice.

I am in the same boat. It seems like according to the woman I spoke with at Ford chat (on the phone) there is not another way to contact Ford customer service at all. The 2023's getting delivered with the exact same build makes me wonder what is going on with the 'chip hold'. How can you have the chips for ones coming off the line but not the ones sitting and waiting?

It's all about priority. The whole goal of manufacturing is 'never stop the line'. Not that I agree with this mentality, but it's why you see Broncos early in the build week get built and shipped immediately, where Thursday/Friday builds get put on chip hold and then forgotten about for shipping.

I knew Broncos were notorious for windshield replacements but didn’t think I’d have one before I even got to drive it.
Must have had a rock hit it as it made its way here.

Oh no I’m sorry that happened! I’m getting the exoshield screen put on Monday for this exact reason. Fingers crossed no chips or crack before then, wish I could get it done sooner

It's home!
Flew in and picked it up yesterday morning from Granger. Went through the OCD checklist and all it needed was a coolant top off. Paperwork took ten minutes. The sign was parked in but I made a convincing case and they moved a lot of cars so I could get in for a pic.

On the uneventful drive home a friend texted me asking how I felt now that I had it after waiting for so long.
I said "I feel like a cowboy." Very few vehicles can elicit an emotion like this and I gravitate towards those. Life is too short to drive boring cars. Ford nailed that ethos with the Bronco.
I love it.

If you're looking to save a few bucks, you can do the labor yourself using a kit from these guys: www.grab-gard.com

I've been happy with mine, over six months in.

I’ve seen that but based on my ability to put on a phone screen protector and the privacy film on my home windows I wouldn’t trust myself to do it without a million air bubbles lol

She's gorgeous! I'll be flying in from Atlanta to pick mine up once the notorious chip hold issue is resolved, so it's encouraging to see 2Drs rolling off the assembly line and landing at Granger!

As someone who works in production I can attest, Don't stop the line is absolutely true. It is more important to build more without chips that is to stop the line just because you ran out of them. It's an unfortunate but true reality of the auto industry.

Eventually all of ours will make a pass, It might be Monday, It might be Friday, It might be Monday 3 months from now. 😭

I'm assuming this is like gorilla Glass but for a windshield instead of a phone?

I'm going to look it up, I was unaware there were windshield issues with the Bronco thanks for the heads up guys!

Gorilla Glass is glass that is manufactured using specific ingredients and processes to improve durability and scratch resistance. Exoshield is just a film that's applied over a piece of glass.
