@4x4TruckLEDs.com and others, feel free to respond.
I’m looking for extra light for dark country roads where deer, foxes, coyotes, and other furry creatures might be an issue.
My parameters:
- SAE approved and street legal
- good cutoff so as to avoid blinding other drivers
- I’d like driving...
So it’s the damndest thing.
I only use wired CarPlay.
It works fine in the morning.
It works fine if I pop out for lunch.
But at the end of the day when I’m ready to leave and drive home, it almost always fails to connect, or will only connect for an instant. Repeated unplugging doesn’t...
Check your FordPass app or wait for a letter.
Description
On your vehicle, the nut on the ball joint, which secures the front upper control arm to the knuckle assembly, may not have been installed or torqued to specification. This can result in separation of the front upper control arm from...
I’m fortunate in that my daily commute involves 6-7 miles of dirt/gravel roads.
There are times where the ride is actually better than on some of the poorly paved roads we have, and certainly much better than sitting in bumper to bumper traffic!
While these roads could be travelled in a...
Visiting family and totally forgot to bring a footstool to help my aunts in and out of the Bronco.
First aunt says she doesn’t need steps, and using the built in handle and the paracord handle I installed climbs in with surprising ease.
She’s 83 years old, and not much above 5’ tall.
A...
So I’ve noticed that after I get a car wash, the plastic grab handle at the bottom of the tailgate glass fills with water.
The result is that if you open the tailgate afterwards, you get water dumped on your head.
Is this just me, or is this a known issue?
Just 10 bolts and a few hundred dollars are all that separates you from a rather burly bar that doesn’t interfere with the 360 cam.
A few notes:
- Be sure to get a T40 plus bit. Bolts come out easy, but you’ll want to not mess things up when torquing.
- Torque bolts to 25Nm. That’s just over...
So on my way to church I (Badlands Sasquatch) was behind a non-Sasquatch Bronco.
Was amazing how different it looked. Not in a bad way, but more of a “they could do some light off-roading, use the car for their daily lives, and probably have an easier time climbing in than I do”.
As I was...
Sure they look cool.
Sure they’re big.
But the most important thing is that a few miles of gravel road driving allows me to pick up enough rocks to keep tailgaters at bay for a solid week - even with mudflaps front and rear.
So while I understand why people like to color match things, it’s definitely not my taste…feels a little “check out my outfit” to me.
I do appreciate a bit of contrasting color, or matching to something that isn’t a primary color. Doesn’t quite feel so over the top.
But then there’s the case...
This is everyone’s opportunity to say “I wish someone…” and for smart companies to get it done.
1. A pre-runner style bar that mounts to the modular bumper that does not show up in any way on the camera. Some of them are “close” but if they just made it a tiny bit larger, there’d be no problem...
I really like the way these appear to attach - seems like you don’t get finish gouging from the set screw like other steps.
Only retailer I can find appears to be adv4x4works which is located in China.
I’d love to try these steps out, but I’m rather wary of ordering them from an overseas...
I’ve found a variety of plastic ones, but was curious as to if anyone makes the old school mesh style headlight protectors, or even ones that have metal bars across them for the Bronco.
So I’d love to hear some ideas on how to utilize the front seat back MOLLE panels that will still allow for a passenger to be safe and comfortable in the rear.
Beyond that, where’s really the next place you’d add MOLLE panels and what would you put there?
I guess I’m just used to having some...
Had great experiences with ProClips gear in vehicles going back over a decade.
Got their mounting plate that fits on the dash, and gives you two 1/4”-20 mounting points and up to three AMPS mounting points.
I also got an arm that mounts to the plate with dual AMPS mounting plates, a Scosche...
Looking for folks who have either the safari bar or some sort of bull bar, and have actually experienced a benefit from them.
Yes, they look cool. And yes they theoretically prevent damage..but I’m actually hoping to hear from folks for which it isn’t theoretical, specifically what they are...
