Ford/competition rushed things, mistakes were made, communication has been shaky, but I haven’t had to make any commitment.
Soooo until it’s decision time...
Two more data points, the Sports that were just delivered to my local dealership had 28 and 7 miles on them when they took pictures. They could’ve been driven a bit before pictures, but that tells me it’s not unreasonable to want it under 10.
It’s a good question and one that motivated the thread, and I’m still not sure where that threshold is for me. But that’s also why I’m asking. If it had 1000 miles on it, I think 99% of us would refuse delivery and have another ordered. That’s exactly the question... how high the miles before I...
Trying to set my expectations here... hoping some dealership employees can weigh in.
How many miles should be on my Bronco when I take delivery? At what point do I get suspicious?
Car and Driver said normal is 10-50 miles, 100+ is suspicious, and anything under 200 is acceptable...
rear seat backs... any chance for plastic or rubber? I realize that’s a tall order, normally reserved for the most rugged of vehicles, like the Element, or Vibe.
Meh. Stuff fails. No brand has a perfect record. People are abusing the 2.3 and 2.7 engines in hundreds of thousands of other models without failures. Let your oil warm up before flooring it, listen for strange noises, add a little youtube/rock auto/harbor freight to your life... you’ll be just...
Welp... can’t argue with the logic. It’s harder, slower, outdated, and locks you out of a lot of nice options.
But for $50k you can get something faster, more efficient, more luxurious, or even better off-road (dirt bike, SxS, built old jeep + a truck to pull it). I’m buying a Bronco because of...
Doesn’t change my plans. The MIC top isn’t pretty but I can beat it up without fearing (or feeling guilty about) scratches and chips. Once a few WNY winters start making the roof leak, I’ll be looking for an aftermarket replacement anyway.
Interesting- a big bend with just a rear locker hero switch? Didn’t know that was a thing. Maybe this means optional rear (OR front?) locker for base and BB, independent of the squatch package.
I registered on the forum just to give a +1 for sage/forest green. I figure if about 99,999 more people do the same it might have a small chance of becoming a thing. Just doing my part lol
