I might have the same issue. I thought it might be loose steering rack mounting bolts, but I tightened those down and still have it. This was a pain in the ass as I had to remove my hidden winch to get to them.
I was also thinking skid plates that have some dirt between them rubbing together...
What a cool project! Can’t wait to see how it turns out. Will that box fit in the stock cargo tray? Also, since the batteries linked are 3.2 V do you wire them in series to get to 12?
Glad I could help!
No issues with the factory system. I keep an eye on the battery voltage while driving and it hasn’t changed at all since installing. If there’s another way to monitor that I’m not aware of, please let me know. No changes in forscan
So I got this installed over the weekend. It wasn’t perfect, but I like it for $330. Don’t know if I would pay $494 for it.
pros:
-Shipping was fast
-Easy to install
-Table has UHMW plastic on areas that slide
-Cheaper than alternative
-Table has drain holes
cons:
-Packaging wasn’t great...

Do you think this would work with one of the spare tire platforms, like the American Adventure Lab MASS spare tire platform? Looks like it might because it is offset from the tire.
Interested to see what you come up with. I was thinking of riveting a couple L brackets to the top of the quarter panel and attaching some aluminum sheet vertically. If you have some other ideas, please let me know!
I found this when doing a little more research.
Unfortunately I will have to pass on this as it doesn’t look like it would work with standard roof top tent mounts and the water issue that was brought up
