  1. A Pillar / Ditch Lights that don't break the bank?

If you’re going to angle the lights to the side, you want a wide/flood pattern. Lots of good options that are budget friendly. I’m using lights from Extreme LED and really happy with the results. Lots of light to the side, really help driving at night in my rural area where there are deer...
  2. Auto Start/Stop

I installed the auto stop eliminator the day I brought my Bronco home. Absolutely the best mod possible. I get that some folks get used to it, but others like me find it incredibly annoying. And if you live in the south, the absence of a/c at stoplights is just awful. I’m not sure what the...
  3. Tint done yesterday

I think it looks great, although I wouldn’t personally do the windshield. I had mine done to match the back windows, huge difference in the heat coming in the windows, almost totally eliminated. Worth it.
  4. Hard top vs soft top - highway noise

Mine is my daily driver and I talk with Bluetooth all the time, no issues. Since I added the Sunrider it’s a little noisier but still just fine, and conversations are pretty normal. I don’t have experience with the soft top, but really happy with my hybrid solution.
  5. Mudflaps or tires?

I put the cheap Weathertech flaps on the day I brought it home. Folks don’t really like them but they sure as hell do the job.
  6. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

You need to see it in person. It has an industrial design on purpose, and is really well made. I had about 60 nights in it with zero problems. In fact the very first night was in a monsoon with machine gun hail and we were totally fine. And mine was the prototype, the production models are much...
  7. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

The nice thing about the Terrapod is how strong it is. You can get a roof rack and put stuff on top of the XL.
  8. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

Thanks! That was a prototype Terrapod and it was an ideal solution. Low profile, low weight, and yet I could stand on it. The company is owned by a friend of mine and he's in full production with them now, highly recommended.
  9. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

I ordered the SLAP and BALLS from Archetype while sitting on the back deck with friends. After a few beers, I pulled up their site and read the description of the BALLS...dammit we laughed so hard that I HAD to order them. AR | B.A.L.L.S.
  10. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

This was a small, but significant mod that I really like. In my previous truck I used a RAM mount with the X-style phone holder and then used a regular charging cable for the phone. That worked really well and I liked it a lot. Setting up the phone was a 2-handed, 2-step process. Putting it...
  11. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

Just realized this thread needed a little updating. Here are some pics from that camping trip. We timed it perfectly, the fall colors were just beautiful.
  12. Heated steering wheel went on the fritz

The weather here is amazing right now, upper 40s at night going to 70 mid afternoon. The wheel is definitely not working like it should. The top of the wheel is almost as warm as it used to be, but the sides and bottom heat is just about non existent. When it was working, the whole wheel was...
  13. Heated steering wheel went on the fritz

It's getting cooler and having a heated wheel is a really nice benefit. The first couple times I used it, it was great. Nice and warm, all the way around. The last couple days, only the top of the wheel is warm, and the rest is barely any heat at all. I'm calling the dealer about it, but...
  14. So what is "it" about the Bronco (for you)?

I owned and loved an 80 series land cruiser, wheeled it hard, took it to amazing places, camped in epic spots, and it was a phenomenal vehicle. It was also difficult to drive cross country. I also do all my own maintenance, and enjoy being in the garage. But. A 25 year old cruiser needs a lot...
  15. 67 Designs and Archetype Racing - matches up really well

67 Designs has a MagSafe holder with an adhesive pad, designed to attach a MagSafe puck from Apple. The combination is really nice, way better than my old RAM setup. Just snap in place and it’s very secure, and charges. Perfect.
  16. 67 Designs and Archetype Racing - matches up really well

He has some specific screws which weren’t ready yet, will ship with the BALLS when they come in. I’m honestly not sure what they look like but I’ll post an updated pic when they come in.
  17. Ram Mounts anyone?

I used the full RAM in my previous 4x4 using the X style holder and it worked very well in all kinds of crazy situations. I liked it a lot, but I’ve gone with a MagSafe mount in the Bronco.
  18. 67 Designs and Archetype Racing - matches up really well

It’s a combination that works really well and I like the options I have now. Archetype Racing SLAP combined with 67 Designs carbon fiber arms and a Bronco Ball. I’ve got another arm waiting for AR’s BALLS and I’ll have a place for something else like a GoPro. I also got AR’s Badlands plate and...
  19. Accessory Rail & Applicable Mounts For Dashboard - recommendations?

I’m using 67 Designs carbon fiber arms (I have two), with their MagSafe mount for my phone. I’ve got an AR SLAP on order which will expand my options with the arms.
