Don't forget there is about $4,500 or so in taxes and fees probably that you have to recoup BEFORE you starting making any money on the flip. And if you finance and pay off right away you could wind up with a "didn't pay as agreed" type note on your credit.

Well, that is the slight risk I was alluding to. It's not much of a risk if you really don't intend to buy it anyway. I think it is all in how you approach the dealership. It could make financial sense for everyone, but they may refuse on "principal." LOL.

Maybe for the pain and suffering of this horrible mess Ford has created? Maybe to offset what he might have paid to get one sooner? I can think of lots of reasons. Why walk away from something that might have value?
