We wheeled for 5 hours on Friday and 7.5-8 hours on Saturday. We were able to hit all but one trail that we wanted to hit but ran out of daylight and did not want to try it at night. We only did one or two trails twice and probalby an hour or so total of stopping and talking and things like...
My wife and I heavily cross shopped a used GX460 to the Bronco before we settled on the bronco. They are wildly capable with a small lift and cutting the side steps off and have significantly more belly ground clearance than the bronco. The tow rating is also so much better with the GX than...
Significantly less on the skidplate usage, and would have made some of the interesting ledges a bit easier. I do not think it would have helped with the bumper scrape. That was a huge hole that that back right tire fell into. A better line that involved a bit of reversing and shifting after...
We couldn't get up Jeepy Hollow on either climb out. We ended up having to go back and climb out CM Drive/ Old Town Trio. That was the rated 3 that neither of us could climb. Errosion may be playing a role here, but some of the vertical ledges proved pretty challenging with the low belly...
That is a super clean 1st Gen. That looks like a blast. Do they close the park to the public that weekend for the Jamboree? That would be really cool to see if not.
I spent this past weekend camping and wheeling in Barnwell Mountain OHV Park in Gilmer TX. I took my 4 door badlands non-SAS and my brother brought his lifted GX470 on 32s. Barnwells maps system is not the greatest, but we used a combination of the Maprika app and OnX and the signs to keep...
This is incredibly inpressive as it is. I think the Raptor dash is more impressive to me than the other stuff. Although I do wish true lane centering could be enabled.
It is a shame that the Guru that was able to get it working the first time had to stop and all of his wealth of information...
Have you looked at having inserts put into the part during the laser cutting? I know we use a lot of SendCutSend parts with the Pem incerts installed by them. Not sure how the cost would break down for those parts though.
Can you grab a coke can and rip the top off by hand?
No, but you could crush one hand.
This is the same principle used in designing the frame horns. They need to crush in compression enough to make the vehicle safe in an accident, but also be strong enough to pull straight from the...
@ChrisB351 Just two vehicles. My badlands and my brothers lifted GX470. Probably 4 people. We will probably get there pretty early the 21st and then head out sometime Sunday when we have tackled all the trails we feel like we can tackle. Coming in from Baton Rouge
