I live in southern oregon, we get about 300 days of sun per year and not many of those are 90+. It helps a ton especially if the vehicle sits during the day in the hot sun. It was one of the first mods I did and took care of all windows and windshield.
Yeah don't worry about some of these folks, many of these people have stuff on their bronco's that I would find hideous. In the end, that's the beauty of the platform it can handle most anything people want to throw at it.
Enjoy!
I have 70% on the windshield and 5% everywhere else and all ceramic. After sitting in the sun all day at work the Bronco is at least 10-15% cooler.
I think the important thing is to do all windows and ceramic is best.
All good!
Last comment (probably not, but we can dream... ) I really appreciated the way Armorlite handled the development process and pre-order. They didn't take a bunch of orders and people's money then develop a product and then figure out they had a manufacturing issue and...
I didn't have any issues with alignment being off or anything like that. Back seat corners were a pain to get through but eventually got it.
I too couldn't get the plastic covers back on the rear seat brackets but didn't worry about it and just stuck them in a box too.
In the end the only...
I agree, my side windows are tinted to 5% and while I love the extra area I can theoretically see with these mirrors the tint makes them almost unusable in the daytime for me.
Mine will likely come off in the next week or so unfortunately and hope that a truly clear version comes out at some point.
Ok so food for thought, you can do A pillar NMOs on both sides (I am doing this with the Mountain to Metal bracket) and do VHF/UHF on one side and 700/800 on the other and then if they are two separate radios (or then can join them together with a combiner if they are on the same radio.
Now as...
Thanks, yeah my tint is very dark, like 5% I think, and I just put the grey on and it’s just so much darker than the factory. I’ll run with it for another couple weeks and see if it’s just me that needs to adjust.
I have a four door and one thing I noticed was that when I added the Armorlite floor that helped with road noise, also when I installed that I added some panels of Killmat on the floor under the armorlite. There is still wind noise, head and cross winds are the worst but that is to be expected...
Where did you get a clear set? I would totally be down for that but what I see on their site is only grey and blue both of which are too dark with side window tint.
I am going to add my 2 cents to the posts above as I agree. Also I have the grey w/ BLIS and these are nearly unusable if you have dark tinted windows (like I do) and if you're wearing sunglasses then they are really pointless. I am glad I purchased from someone here because if I'd ordered...
