Yeah so coming home it came down, looks like my great idea won't hold but I didn't have a huge amount invested in the solution, was worth a shot. If the strips were sticking to each other then it likely would have been fine but oh well.
On to the next idea for mounting...
Heat didn't seem...
Yeah I am with you on that. When I drove in this morning after being on the road with it running for 50 minutes I did immediately check it and it was warmer than the ambient temperature but it wasn't hot in my opinion.
I have a long trip on Saturday in some very remote area so it will be on...
First mod for me was replacing the carpet with the Armorlite flooring. Could not be happier with it but I'll admit it was a little concerning for the wife to see our brand new vehicle interior completely gutted 48hrs after picking it up...
Mine arrived yesterday and I got it installed. Seeing @KT_bronco’s install with the velcro gave me an idea and it seems to be working.
I had some heavy duty command strips that are for picture hanging, they are rated to hold like 20lbs when they are connected to each other. What I did was...
Thanks for the update, curious, will it wedge flat between the hardtop and the cross member? I know you said it really likes the 18 deg angle but I am curious if it will still move adequate data when flat.
Ordered mine on the 15th and received shipping notification today along with FedEx tracking.
Well I am waiting to see more user response on its use through the roof but my current plan will be to use the star mount magneticly attached to a molle cross brace.

So two months in for me and had my tint installer do the exoshield install when I got it. 5500 miles in two months and almost all of it highway driving. Have had an occasional rock hit from oncoming traffic and not a scratch.
Also had the dealer install the Aeroskin II deflector before I...
Watching, I hope this works out to be a good solution. I'd just prefer to have one data solution that worked "everywhere" rather than cell modems and cell boosters that give the impression that you have service but you really don't.
I have both the passenger and drivers side amplifier mount brackets from Plug n Play Kits. I purchased both for a radio project that didn't work out and now both are excess to my needs.
I have the original boxes for both as you can see, however the small equipment mounting screws seem to have...
I am installing an accessory timer for my radio gear and have run into a bit of a quandary. Normally the timers work well and auto sense when the engine is turned off and starts the timer. This doesn't seem to work with the Bronco, I suspect because of the alternator and charging system turns...
Love this idea. I hope to move to Starlink when the mini comes out, and hopefully a more realistic monthly plan. Currently using FirstNet with a Sierra Wireless MG90 modem which works better than most but not everywhere...
Really, I am curious why? Logic tells me that having a wider tire in the winter would give you more contact on the road, but not being an expert please help educate me.
So traditionally I have done as you suggest with a set of winter and summer tires on all my vehicles. I live in the area south of Bend and most years get a fair amount of snow and usually have studded tires on from Nov/Apr. That said I haven't decided what to do for the Bronco this next...
