Finally got my Method Race Wheels 305 in Bahia Blue installed. They look great (I think;). Add almost 1.5 inches in “poke” due to offset. And they also needed a 1 & 1/8 inch extension to tailgate bumpers on back of vehicle to contact tire. Came up with a good looking solution I prefer over a...
It does not. It needs the sides trimmed. The depth is good. I also made cut outs for the tiedowns near the tailgate side so that it would lie flat across the package.
I think it wouldn’t work correctly, because the side plates/walls are cut precisely to meet the rise of the seats hinge line that cuts across the cargo floor. I don’t think the greater length of the 4 door sidewall hardware would fit over the shorter distance to the seat fold point on the 2-door.
How well has this top held up for owners? I think I am leaning this way, as I am not a fan of gluing 20’ of Velcro to my not-so-inexpensive vehicle. Plus, I don’t prefer the look of the black velcro on my white cage/roof line.
You bet. Let me know if you need any other images or info. I’ve had this for a week, and so glad I got it, even though it will slightly complicate my top removal/replacement with the TopLift Pro. It’s worth having a very solid and secure storage area. 👍🏻
as Bulldogg915 said, tight, very tight - and no vibration or movement. 👍🏻
Great points. Top removal and replacement is complicated by the enclosure for my TopLift. I’m pretty quick though, as I undo the center bolt on back and the 2 easy hand nuts (1 either side) closest to the tailgate. Then...
Just finished installing my new Cargo Area Enclosure with Fixed Lid (there is a similar product with a hinged lid). Gotta say, this is transformative for using my “Nude” Bronco for multi-stop chores and errands. My only issue with topless has been that once you put stuff in the back, you are...
Yes. I live in Michigan, so it isn’t going to be hitting MOAB, etc. we just don’t have the terrain here. But def trails and the sand dunes up at Silver Lake, on the northern side. And I enjoy camping. I used to live in SoCal, and would off road most weekends in the Sierra Nevadas, and Death...
Yeah, it really looks amazing. The lower “visual height” that comes with having the roof off makes it even more aggressive in appearance. And absent all that weight, it is noticeably “snappier” in acceleration- and it is already good with the weight. But the “nude” diet, makes it really fun to...
LOL. The M&R DRL are a very good color match. I leave them on always- on Aux 2. So if the engine is running, they are illuminated. If you turn on the whites, you just can’t see the amber due to the brightness of the white.
They are. I love them. Had then on my Wildtrak, and liked them so much, bought them for my Raptor when I traded. Here is my install video, it has brightness demos.:
Looks like the Method 305 back there. I like! I’m looking at that in Bahia Blue. Any fitment issues for it - can you show side view of poke versus factory on front?
As someone else asked, picts of these on your rig yet? I am looking at these - similar - the 305 in Bahia Blue, and have done the photoshop to get an idea, but would love to see actual shots.
