It came down to Diode Dynamics or Morimoto - the design/build of both are great, but preferred Morimoto. And I installed / reviewed their headlights for my Wildtrak, which left me with a great impression of the quality.
Finally got these installed and the guide edited. Very happy with the output of these. They aren’t cheap, but when you hold them, feel the quality, and see the output, you understand why. These compete with the Top-of-the-line Diode Dynamics. They call the 3 LED light a “4Banger” because it has...
I am working on the video edit for Morimoto’s installation now, and should be able to post this week. They really blow a hole through the night (running the 5 deg spots). When coupled with M&R’s Fantastic kit for the modular bumper - there is no dark. The M&R install here if you’re newer to the...
I detailed my solution in this thread:https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/method-race-wheels-305-gloss-bahia-blue-w-black-lip-installed-tailgate-bumper-solution-bronco-raptor.75556/
Had a good question on my YouTube regarding locking - security with doors on, roof off and ability to unlock the tailgate with door locks, the poster asked:
Great Video, thanks, but is there anything stopping someone from just pressing the unlock button on the doors, if they were there, and...
Yes, they are a 0 (zero) offset wheel, with the factory 37” KO2s installed on them. That results in about 1 1/2 inch of poke on each side from the OEM Rim with a +34mm offset.
Doesn’t really workout with the spare tire back there. If you swung the tire our of the way on an independent arm, to allow the tailgate to drop, then you still have the rear clearance issue in parking space. And having glass, motor and guides run on the interior of the tailgate really limits...
Updated the Original Post to include info for using the TopLift Pro with Fords Cargo enclosure. If you have the cargo enclosure, the lid prevents use of the TopLift Pro. This video details an easy mod to be able to quickly remove/install the Cargo Lid for use of the TipLift Pro (or any other...
Updated the thread - original post to include a second video link for a couple of Mods I have made to the enclosure - for easy removal/reinstall of top lid of enclosure. (required to use Top Lift Pro to remove roof)
Buckling them in and bringing them in around the inside of, and under the headrest, silences their flapping. If you don’t do that, they become noise machines around 35-40 mph. As pictured, totally quiet. Side benefit, it really does show the belts nicely - color pop - versus having them hidden...
Very modest deterrent if the doors are off, since anyone knows the back seats fold forward on SUVs. However, with the doors installed, it can be pretty effective since you have to unlock the doors to get access to the rear seats. And unlocking them without a key will trip the alarm (I believe)...
Thanks! I personally knew I would never need a true bead-lock (or it’s added unsprung weight), but love the look of the hardware around circumference. I don’t think any wheel does it better than Method in regards to the look. The bolts around the circumference are actually removable and they...
The Method 305 is a zero offset. So moves the (factory) tire out 1.5 inches more in “poke”. (The Ford factory rim has an Offset of 34mm). There are no clearance issues for the Method 305 on the BRaptor in turn or vertical travel.
Thanks!
They are definitely a great looking wheel design, in any color. The beadlock look is totally convincing also. Someone actually thought I was incorrect at a car event and said, no they are headlock ready. For those of you without these, Method gave the outter ring an undercut. So, even...
Thanks! I did a lot of photoshop preview, but was still nervous till I saw them on. They look even better in-person, and where a hit at my last Cars n Coffee event.
Finally got my Method Race Wheels 305 in Bahia Blue installed. They look great (I think;). Add almost 1.5 inches in “poke” due to offset. And they also needed a 1 & 1/8 inch extension to tailgate bumpers on back of vehicle to contact tire. Came up with a good looking solution I prefer over a...
