Current soft top owners, how are you liking it so far?
I am really torn on which way to go. In particular, Iād be interested to know how the lift-style opening at the rear is working IRL. I overland my rigs, and often work out of the back in the evenings, cooking dinner and whatnot. My...
Undercoating? Perhaps.
Undercoating from the dealership? Heck no.
Treat your seats for stain resistance with 303 or Chemical Guys? Yes.
Have the dealership do it? Heck no.
This is what you want: https://www.chemicalguys.com/nonsense-all-purpose-cleaner/nonsense-cleaner.html
Then protect them going forward with something like VRP. Jeep guys have been dealing with this issue for a long time.
Dealers are out of the loop because they make no effort to get in the loop. Iād switch dealers ASAP if I were you. Savvy dealers are staying in the loop and getting the best possible outcomes for their customers.
March 20, 2021 reservation holder ($2k under invoice) here. Looking forward to your guy Hunter contacting me to get my specific order. Eruption Green is gonna be sweet.
Itāll be interesting to see what the Gen 6 4Runner looks like. The best current guess is that itāll have a 275hp version of the 2.4L turbo from Lexus. Sounds about right for Toyota. But will they also offer dual lockers to keep up with Bronco/Wrangler/ZR2? Will KDSS be improved? Interesting...
That looks so damn good. I love that Ford has made this a metallic color. Jeep has had some nice greens lately ā especially Sarge ā but for a while now, theyāve been solid colors with no metal flake.
Still trying to get a good sense of Eruption Green, so thanks for these real-life pics. I think itās what I want, but Iām worried it might be darker IRL than in photos. My preference is actually for a medium forest green, not a dark forest. Looks perfect in these shots.
You'll love it. And don't mind the "just get manual disconnects" crowd. They never actually use them. Crawling under your rig with zip ties just doesn't have the same magic as pushing a friggin' button on the dash anytime you want. ;)
Swaybar disconnects are like magic. I'd rather have an e-disco than a front locker. Way more useful more of the time. Keeping all 4 tires on terra firma is Job One off-road, and the disco helps with that. Also makes the ride way more comfortable on the rough stuff.
I must admit: Cruising in a 4Runner with the sunroof, windows, and rear window down is a real pleasure. Gives an instant open-air vibe with almost no buffetIng. Even at highway speeds, sunroof + rear window is very low-noise/wind. I expect your wife will like it.
The problem is the extra 800 lbs you're carrying around when you're not using the electric power. I agree it makes some sense for commuting. But for long wilderness trips, the battery is a very heavy anchor.
