I’d love to see some photos in hard sunlight that show how much metal flake AG has (or doesn’t have). So far, it looks like a very small/smooth flake pattern, but it’s hard to know without a closeup in direct sunlight.
My man, that was a terrific, balanced write-up. The world could use more of those.
As to hitting the turn signals, if someone hasn't done this (or had their wipers going randomly), they're not wheeling hard enough!
What’s wild is that Ford seems to be ok with all of this. Perhaps it has forgotten that the FJ and Xterra both went the way of the dodo bird, despite being capable Wrangler alternatives in their time. Both had loyal followings and still couldn’t crack the code.
Ford apparently thinks the Bronco...
Lordy, so the OP has to issue a public apology and still doesn’t get his Bronco?
And the dealer completely wins because he somehow threatened legal consequences for the OP for daring to go public about the dealer’s shady practices?
Do I have that right? If anyone threatened violence against...
Your point is, of course, the mature one. I think a lot of us are bothered by the fact that the OP insulted Granger customers. Makes it hard to have much sympathy.
However, the OP is also getting screwed by a slimebag dealer, and that's not right, either.
The real bad guy here is Ford, which...
“It was never realistic for a small group of manual-transmission diehard weirdos to think that they would get something for nothing from Ford. If someone doesn’t like the pricing on the ManSquatch, they should switch to a 10speed.”
—Mike Levine, probably
Funny thing is, we’re only talking about a few thousand Broncos that are affected by this. Ford could choose to honor time-stamp delivery for those who have already reserved, then change the program going forward, and it wouldn’t even take a large bite out of total Bronco production. What...
I’ve waited and waded through a lot of BS up to this point, and I kinda hate it when people make this announcement, but…
I’m out.
The Bronco is a nice rig, but it’s not nearly as special as Ford Levine seems to think it is. Ford may sell a lot of Broncos to people who want the latest Hot...
Ford’s lesson will come in a few years, when they have failed to gain traction with the enthusiast community.
People who want a Bronco because it’s the latest hot thing will have moved to the next hot thing. Enthusiasts will still be driving Jeeps and Toyotas. And Broncos will be an also-ran...
It’s pretty clear that Ford is sick of us, and regretting the day it ever heard the word “reservation.”
So how long until they just cancel all outstanding reservations and refund us our $100 and wash their hands of the whole thing?
Sure seems like that’s where this debacle is headed. Hope I’m...
Nonsense. Smaller Jeep dealers have been doing exactly what Granger is doing for years. I’ve ordered three Jeeps from them. It was never a problem. Jeep magically manages to fulfill all of these orders without screaming about ”allocation.”
Don’t piss on my head and tell me it’s raining, Ford.
