  1. Clatter in 4LO - worse when clutching in/out

Normal in 4 low with the 7mt from my experience. You have to be very smooth to avoid bucking and funny noises
  2. [EDIT:] Ford won't reimburse me for my recalled rear shocks.

HOSS 3.0 takeoffs from a guy on here for $1,000
  3. [EDIT:] Ford won't reimburse me for my recalled rear shocks.

If you haven’t found anything yet, I have my yellow bilsteins sitting in my garage that you can have. I live in central Mass. Pulled them off at 32k miles, working fine, but show signs of rusting at the reservoir.
  4. Which ARB Suspension Kit Is Right for Your Bronco Build?

These are not in the same universe as the 8112. Click the links provided. These look cheap for a reason.
  5. Strange sound issues: manual 2.3l

I hear this screech once every month maybe. Too random to diagnose for me so far. There is a spring loaded valve in the muffler on these. Someone on here cut it out for some reason.
  6. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

This is oil temp we’re talking about. Coolant temp, I’d more or less agree with you. Modern synthetics are fine at 245f. The real issue is that there was a large difference from what the OP usually sees. A blown head gasket can rupture a weak-ass plastic radiator. COME BACK TO US OP!!!
  7. For those of you replacing rear coilovers what are you torquing them at.

Simple math really. Three seconds of uhguhduhguhs = gudentite.
  8. ALIGNMENT AFTER NEW WHEELS?

Sorry, can’t help myself from being a dick at times. You’re welcome! Changing wheel offset will change scrub radius, which can’t be fixed with an alignment. It mostly affects steering feel, but it’s a bronco, not a race car. Slap them wheels on and be done.
  9. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

If they can’t tell you exactly what is wrong and why it needs an engine, bring it somewhere else.
  10. Stock WT Tire Rub

Yellow bilsteins were standard on earlier model wildtraks.
  11. Do you get people trying to race you ?

But my car runs a 12.1 in Road and Track magazine. Get smoked!
  12. Do you get people trying to race you ?

Most redundant thing I’ve ever read
  13. Long Term Drivers’s Seat Wear

Height is definitely the major contributor. I’m 6ft and make an effort to avoid squashing the bolsters. My wife is 5’2 and slithers out. Now she has a 2010 LR4 that feels like I’m falling down in to when I get in. We’ll see how long that seat lasts šŸ˜…
  14. Long Term Drivers’s Seat Wear

The MGV cracks pretty easily right there. Mine’s been cracked for a while.
  15. Spring preload to lift?

Adding preload reduces down/droop travel, which can cause an earlier top out in suspension stroke, which doesn’t feel good. That’s a ā€œharshnessā€ it can create. It’s also horrible for a bypass style shock that relies on a factory set ride zone. Add preload (via spacer or some garbage) and push it...
  16. HOSS 3.0 on 2023 Badlands w/ Sasquatch

    Correct. That’s all I’m doing.
