The Ranger I just drove was a 4 door so I imagine about the same size and weight of what a 4 door Bronco will be and it was plenty, much more power than I expected, it will be slightly better in the 2 door too which is what I'm getting.
Oh, no the ranger did not have paddles, only the +/- button on the console shifter which doesn't shift, it just limits the highest gear it'll shift to.
The other thing I learned about the ranger when I was at the dealer was Ford offers their own engine tune software for the ranger, adds like 45HP and 60Lb-ft and is installed in the service department and retains your warranty, so basically I'm going for the manual 2.3 and if it ends up being...
The only interior close ups I've seen have been the manual so I can't say. Now that I'm thinking about it I'll have to look for any shots with paddles. That's the only thing that would get me to go 2.7 right now.
I disagree. I just test drove a Ranger yesterday and I like the 10-speed, but it's not for me. The only way to shift it (this may change on a Bronco) is the up down button on the stick but it doesn't change gears it only limits the highest gear it'll go to. So if you're in 6th you have to hit...
I doubt that's twisting the tailgate, and when you configure the Wrangler there's an option for a Mopar tailgate reinforcement. I'm sure Ford will offer something like that.
I don't know what I'll be doing yet. I have a VW GTI right now and on a regular basis I either don't go do something or have to borrow a truck to get there. Weather it be hunting, fishing, target shooting, camping ect. For example I can only go target shooting at my gun club but the handful of...
I meant that disconnecting the sway bar is to get more travel and then if you limit the travel by adding a bigger bump stop you cancel out some of the added travel you get using the sway bar feature.
All good, I didn't take offense, I knew perfectly well I was coming in with some stupid questions. Somebody's gotta don't they? :D
To answer both of you, I guess I don't know where I want to go with my Bronco, there have been so many different heights shown in all the various photos released...
I know you can lift an IFS, the question was supposed to be more; At what point will you have to ditch the Bilstien's? I don't want to buy a truck with nice suspension only to have to throw some of it away to get another inch or two. I especially don't want to pay $5000 for Sasquatch and again...
Ya but will we be able to get 2.5-3 on top of badlands/high clearance suspension or over base. That would mean if 3 inches is max then the 1.5 of the high clearance/Squatch is halfway to the top.
I think I am wrong about the electronic, I thought they were. I read "position sensitive shocks" and with all the stuff about goat modes I assumed they were electronic in some way but I guess not. My VW GTI has electronic shocks that stiffen or soften based on the drive mode, so I figured it was...
Sorry, I thought I read or heard that between the GOAT modes and "position sensitive shocks" that they were electronically adjustable like my VW GTI, it has electronic "Dynamic Chassis Control" shocks.
Ya they seem to have been speaking in circles and not being very clear. I have heard the BL is between base and Squatch and I have heard it is the same. Sorta makes me want to cancel my reservation and order one in 3 years when stuff is calmed down and all the info and models are out and...
Not sure if this was covered, but I haven't seen it discussed.
How far can you lift a IFS vehicle, its not like SAS where you just add huge leafs or long travel coils.
Also if you have the electronic Bilstein's will you have to ditch them to lift the truck beyond Sasquatch?
Is Sasquatch maxed...
As alot of you have said the Badlands is supposed to have sasquatch height suspension with or without the sasquatch package, that and if it sits that low AND if the sasquatch package adds travel limiters to make sure the 35's clear the fenders then what was the point of the disconnecting sway...
Was thinking the same, if this is the Badlands then it should have a taller suspension than the more base versions, or it has the sasquatch either way if this is as high as it goes from the factory itll need a lift. You almost can't use the swaybar disconnect you just paid so much for...
