Got another one. I don't care if the Bronco gets scratches , dings, or paint swirls. It's only a matter of time before I go through the brush and take some scrapes. Sure, I'll protect it, do everything I can to keep it from rusting, but I won't baby it either.
That leaves such an ugly taste in my mouth. You pay extra, wait extra time, give them a bigger sale and commission and then those greedy bastards charge you more for your trouble as if they did anything more than check a box on the order sheet. Grrr.
Only in the sense that I drove this one off the lot, and I've still got my original order. Part of me is going to have a hard time saying No when my 2 door Basesquash comes in. But I know that the 4 door is the right Bronco for my needs.
We talked about it ahead, worked the numbers, shared input, and it's all good. We make decisions that have the potential to effect our plan and happiness as a team so there aren't any regrets.
The nice thing, to me, for doing my own is the chance to eyeball the general state of the engine compartment. That's where you discover worn and or loose components, leaks, that kind of thing. It's preventive maintenance.
Honestly Ford didn't communicate it well to the casual observer. I'd heard about the bronco, then the bronco sport came out, had no removable top, and I stopped paying attention thinking it was the typical carmaker move of over promising.
This is my first ford so I never really followed them...
The joke is on you friend, I made pineapple pizza tonight. It was delicious with the salty tears I cry when someone asks when my ordered Bronco will come in.
If it fits in the budget, cash is probably good. I like the gift card, in normal situations but with medical bills, cash is probably a life saver. It sounds like the guy has been great to you, always nice when someone recognizes the work you put it,, so I'm sure that would be appreciated...
My only complaint is that the dash layout. I wish they'd have moved the manual speedometer more into the field of view and left it out of the digital view. That's really it. Give us a new digital layout and call it all perfect.
Oh wait, my other complaint is that it hasn't been nice enough...
Nope. Ford told us how reservations worked, people picked the dealers based on that, then Ford pulled the rug out from under people. People with reservations played by the rules.
Second, and just as importantly, those dealers trying to 'game' the system were dealers working in the rules that...
One thing I never realized until I came here is how many people expect a Bronco to be able to do burnouts. The 2.3 is a perfect engine for a highly capable four wheel drive vehicle.
