  1. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

Premiere has been very open about who he is and what he does. He's not a Ford/MAP employee if that's what you're concerned about.
  2. Should I order a new 2022 Bronco?

You can't order an FE. They are sold out forever. You may be able to buy one from a dealer if an order is abandoned, but that's a pure chance play. Ordering something with a soft top today might get you a Bronco in the next year, though if you option it up in every other way you'll have other...
  3. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

I agree with this generally - the problem is that the 50% of Americans who are unvaccinated are still at risk, and supply and workforce disruptions will continue as long as we have areas of significant outbreaks. Doesn't matter how safe you and I are if we're vaccinated if we can't get our...
  4. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

A new VIN would have to be issued in that scenario. VINs are specific to model years, so if Ford moves anyone from a MY21 to a MY22, they'll have to cancel the original VIN and issue a new one.
  5. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

Okay, I guess I see that point - many suppliers have been underperforming all along. So you suggest to take this data and apply it to all future projections? Do you believe that would be a good representation of what Ford can do? My point is that the sample size is simply too small and variable...
  6. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

When Ford says they have chips for 60k builds, they mean that they have suppliers committed to getting them the 60k chips. But then when the supplier doesn't deliver...
  7. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

I'm guessing this was a reply to my post. I don't believe I'm close-minded, I'm just trying to share what I currently believe to be true. And I'd love to be wrong. Help me understand where I am. What data do you believe Ford has that would allow them to make projections of any value?
  8. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

The only past production that is relevant is what has happened in the last 7 days, as full production started one week ago. There literally is no "past" to use. If they used information from the month(s) before that, we'd see projections into 2024 that are irrelevant. I understand data models...
  9. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

I couldn't disagree with this more - they appear to have no idea what's actually going to be delivered next week. They had full production planned for the next couple weeks and are suddenly shutting down. Suppliers in every industry right now are simply not able to deliver. And it's a surprise...
  10. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

Great example. We want to believe we're "past" COVID but we aren't at all. Especially when realizing how much further along in vaccinations we are in the US than many countries. I'm afraid the next 6-8 months are going to see a lot more uncertainty globally and continue to impact supply chains...
  11. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

This is the problem with what we want-there is no way to set anything in stone right now.
  12. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

Nice to have you back! Thanks for the info. While the delays stink, I'm almost relieved to hear they are being at least partially caused by the same things plaguing the entire industry. Doesn't make it easier to deal with - in many ways this significantly increases the challenges - but it's...
  13. Build Date Pushed Email Received 8/7

No idea. Seemed like about 3 weeks of production was scheduled that hadn't been produced yet, so maybe 9-10,000?
  14. Build Date Pushed Email Received 8/7

Unless these production issues persist, all current reservations/orders should be filled next year.
  15. Build Date Pushed Email Received 8/7

A significant portion of the way allocations were determined is based on number of orders. So a dealer with lots of orders has lots of allocations.
  16. Build Date Pushed Email Received 8/7

No. They just go on the schedule to be built when they are selected. They can be moved around, but after selected it doesn't appear reservation time means anything.
  17. Build Date Pushed Email Received 8/7

Your reservation date and time can be referenced from the email Ford sent confirming your reservation. Literally the actual time it was sent. There is no reordering from a master list. It only matters where you are on your dealer's list and how many that dealer was allocated. And if course...
