  1. Standard vs Mid Packages Confusion

Is it a difference between the fixed backup lines and the assist lines that move based on turning the wheel? I don't know, just thinking about what could be a difference.
  2. 8/2 Bronco Scheduling Cancelled - Again!

Your current build has a higher chance of being built sooner than your revised build. In fact, there's nothing I can see in your revised build that makes it more likely to get. Both are squatched (constrained), both are 2.7l (constrained). Both are soft top. Badlands in general is not currently...
  3. Update: from the broken G.O.A.T. Modes

Thanks for the video - interested to see your lift install!
  4. Bronco production update 8/3: More downtime expected weeks of 8/16 and/or 8/23

The problem isn't the overall capacity of the system - it's finding ways to use the system more efficiently. The vast majority of EVs used for "normal" use charge overnight, when the system is less stressed and there's lots of extra capacity. Smart charging, financial incentives to use cheaper...
  5. I think my dealer has screwed me royally

In my post I said he isn't likely to be built. And it doesn't matter whether we know the dealer's allocation. He was told he was going to be built this year, then gets a 99d order. Somewhere what he's been told doesn't square with reality. It's obvious that many - including some dealers - are...
  6. I think my dealer has screwed me royally

The dealer may not be intentionally screwing him, and with a Sep reservation it likely doesn't matter at this point, but this dealer is either intentionally misleading him or ignorant about the process. And while I know it's frustrating to see the same question asked, everyone comes here for...
  7. I think my dealer has screwed me royally

Ask your dealer to change your priority code. Don't stop asking until he does. If it's 99 you won't be scheduled. Of he does it before the next round of scheduling you'll be eligible to be selected. All that said, a September Wildtrak reservation is extremely unlikely to be selected.
  8. Ordering Question

About a week before your rig is built.
  9. Bronco Records 3,277 Sales and 6,072 Units Produced in July 2021

That means they are individuals who were driving something other than a Ford.
  10. Bronco production update 8/3: More downtime expected weeks of 8/16 and/or 8/23

This is terrifying. How am I to deal with the Bronco rollercoaster if I can't self-medicate due to a lack of bottles...!
  11. Bronco Daily Build Rates at MAP for the Week of 8/2

Nope. They were originally scheduled for production and the call was made in late June/early July to shut them down. If you google automotive plant shut down, you'll see news articles of manufacturers doing it. Here's an article from yesterday on GM shutting down three of its plants...
  12. Bronco Daily Build Rates at MAP for the Week of 8/2

That's not how it works. Production doesn't focus on FEs the first week - rather, when they are on a regular scheduling process, the first week of scheduling focuses on FEs, but they schedule them throughout the month they are scheduling for. Then week 2 of scheduling would focus on everything...
  13. Bronco Daily Build Rates at MAP for the Week of 8/2

Except it's happened a ton at automotive manufacturers everywhere in the last year. It just happened last week at MAP. They weren't scheduled for summer shut down, and shut down last week due to commodities. You couldn't be more wrong on this - Ford WILL shut the line down before they...
  14. Bronco Daily Build Rates at MAP for the Week of 8/2

Nobody who has been known to post actual information has said MAP isn't building units this month. They're obviously building vehicles - will they build at full production speed all month long? That's what sounds to be up in the air. I'm guessing we're going to see several periodic stoppages of...
  15. Bronco production update 8/3: More downtime expected weeks of 8/16 and/or 8/23

Ford doesn't deal in many raw materials - but their suppliers' suppliers do. And down the line nobody can adequately predict when they will be able to supply products. This isn't a Ford issue, it's an everyone issue, but it just so happens Ford was launching an iconic new vehicle with high...
  16. 8/2 Bronco Scheduling Cancelled - Again!

This. It's super frustrating when waiting on scheduling to happen, but delaying scheduling for a period that's still 4 weeks away doesn't actually impact anyone's build. And if delaying helps them get a better handle on commodities, it means fewer changed build dates. I mean, that's good right? ;)
  17. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

"This all" is pretty darn good news from Ford's perspective. Your solution is for a problem that Ford doesn't view as a problem at all. Limiting reservations that significantly would have left a lot of passionate people without a reservation and a tie to the process. It may have reduced angst...
  18. 1250 Miles in 4-Door Badlands - Real World Owner's Thoughts

In regards to the off-road maps, they are coming this fall is the last I heard.
  19. Scheduling resumes week of 8/2

That's not how the allocations actually work. Sigh.
  20. Trigger to convert reservation to order?

I'm constantly amazed (probably shouldn't be) that dealers don't know what they're talking about on these things. You can place an order at any time. With your reservation being so late, your chances at a MY21 are low, though not impossible if you are ordering a ride with no constraints (ie...
