Again this post is discussing the issue as it pertains to drivers of the manual Broncos. If you drive the automatic please refrain from commenting about how much you like the electronic parking brake.
I’m hoping and trusting that the digital tach will be improved in future updates. Like yeah we really want 80% of the dash to be taken up by the 2 different speedometers. Lol. No way they don’t fix it in a future update.
My Bronco in particular has already had a total failure of the electronic parking brake in it's first 200 miles. I have been told by the dealership that this is rare, but they have seen other Bronco's experience this as well. I've been told it's is an electric/wiring issue and apparently the fix...
No regrets but I would love to know who thought it was a good idea to have a toggle parking brake button thingy instead of a manual lever. They should be fired, and publicly flogged.
I also have this issue on my 2022 2.3L 7MT Black Diamond. About 350 miles on it. I didn't notice the issue maybe 200 miles ago, when it was very new. But maybe that is because the weather was warmer then? Either way, when I start it cold now, definitely a rattling/grinding noise that goes away...
I have a couple of M3's - one weighs 2500lbs with aero and the other one has a lot of power. Both are a lot of fun to drive but I am still tempted to sell them both and dump money into my Bronco. I have a 2 door BD 7MT that is insanely fun to drive.
There's a small market for people who want quality and don't care too much what the price is. A lot of companies ignore this market but the ones who cater to it are very successful.
Ok, I was more so just curious because you said “yes” that “when you clutch in, the revs instantly drop by several thousand” and I don’t know why you’d say that when that’s not the case. Again just because you don’t notice it doesn’t mean it’s not the case. A video would help you to refer back...
Remember, just because you don’t notice it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Are you saying that when you clutch in, the revs instantly drop by several thousand?
Thanks for the info @Boreal and everyone else.
I'm going to get the 2.3L Ford performance tune and see if that improves things. If it doesn't make much difference, I'll get a lightweight flywheel as well. Will report back here and let y'all know how it goes.
Here's a scenario for those having difficulty understanding:
You are accelerating from a stop. 1st gear. 4k RPM. You want to shift up. Clutch in. One second later, the revs have dropped to 3k. Another second, and they are at 2k. You can now shift smoothly into 2nd gear. Clutch out. On throttle...
Yes, I'm aware of that - that's not what I'm referring to - and that's only a small part of what rev matching is. You can rev match in any manual car but not every manual car holds the revs like that. That's beside the point though...
I'm not referring to really any of the things that you...
How is it at all the same thing? I'm not referring to when the RPM's drop and then stay at a certain amount for a second. I'm referring to the amount of time they take to drop.
