Did you contact LOD for help? Did you have ACC? Harness swap from old bumper to new, sensor connectors oriented to left or right (not vertical)? LOD should be able to answer your questions, since they designed it..
I just installed a BAMF winch bumper and had to take portions of harness...
I looked at the Ford winch kit but it looked like an afterthought the winch sits above frame, blocks camera, costly. I got a BAMF bumper and a Warn winch with control box relocation bracket and cables. Very clean install. Park sensors option allowed me to move harness/sensors to new bumper. I...
Good to know about the rear brake wear. I just rebuilt the rear drum brakes on my 97 F150 (first time since new) they had over 400,000 miles on them with some shoe left.
If i hadn’t read this post I would have expected more than 30k out of my Bronco rear disk brakes. Thankfully, disk brakes are...
As others have stated 2000 isn’t old. Have they changed and added tech, sure.Vehicles had a major change in the mid 70s when they started adding emission controls like a band aid. That stuff never stopped coming.
If i were to cherry pick the features and technology it would be like this:
-...
I installed a BAMF winch bumper with a Warn EVO 10S winch. I had to unwrap parking sensor harness at passenger inner sensor to be able to fit/lengthen harness onto BAMF bumper. I did not have ACC to relocate. I installed Warn controller under hood using BAMF bracket relocation kit. Due to hood...
I just installed the ASFIR transmission skid and ran into same issue. The pocket washer isn’t wide enough to get a socket in and get the bolt tight. They would be fine for 15mm bolts but not 17mm. I don’t think even a thin wall Snap-On socket would fit. I am going to contact ASFIR to see if they...
I got the same option from BAMF but i had to mount control box with cables down and i had to drill new holes (and installed Rivnuts)for my isolator relay to move it lower too. My hood had an insulation panel so clearance was less. I used the Aux 4 switch for winch relay connected to the unused...
What winch did you get? My Warn EVO 10s came with a 6 foot #4 gauge power cable. I added a Stinger isolator relay and cut/terminated cable (all #4) from control box to relay to battery. #2 seems large for that short run.
I finished the BAMF Warn install today. Everything works, winch, sensors, lights. I used my engine hoist with straps in 3 places so i could level it. Worked great. With Warn 10S there is about 3/4 inch clearance behind winch to intercooler shutters which i did not have to remove. I will...
I did nearly same thing with BAMF bracket, Warn controller, and Stinger relay, except I had to mount Warn box with connectors down and Stinger with connectors down due to hood clearance. I have hood insulation panel and the other way was too high. I drilled holes and used Rivnuts for Stinger.
Jerry replied very quickly to my inquiry today. Apparently if you switch the housings around to fit BAMF keys they all fit. (I was trying match OEM Position) He said sensor connector can be to right or left.
All i have left is to “de-loom” and fit /rout harness into bumper.
I was trying to fit sensor housings into bumper hardware and ran into issues. I marked each sensor on the face with tape showing vertical orientation when i removed them. The sensor only goes into housing one way. i am making an assumption that sensors are clocked so connector is to the right or...
I am just getting around to installing my BAMF winch bumper. (it was more like 10 weeks)As you said, very solid construction. The winch is more in line with frame rails and doesn’t have a huge profile. I got the Warn EVO 10S. My OEM modular bumper has parking sensors and BAMF provided mounting...
I like mine but they are a bit sensitive. It isn’t new tech. When I was a kid, my sister and her husband had a 1959/60 Oldsmobile station wagon (yes that was a GM car brand) that had an auto dimmer sensor on the dash. It worked pretty good.
I got the Draw Tite extended hitch and Curt wiring kit. Plug in line /pass thru with tail light harness. There are videos on YouTube and instructions. Fairly easy. I had to use a spacer and some additional washers as the bolts are a bit long.
