Opposite thinking for me.… I have the 33” KO2s on stock Badlands wheels and when they wear out I might replace them with the 33” version of the Goodyear Territories because they are lighter and priced much better than most others.
The most common two issues across all Broncos seem to be manual transmission rattle and hardtop being leaky/defective in some way. The manual trans definitely makes the Bronco and I wouldn’t own one without it, but test drive the vehicle when weather is cold (like 50 degrees and under… colder...
Yeah that’s why I like the Wildtrak grill but like u said matte black would be perfect. Anything is better than the stock Big Bend grill tho so I had to get rid of that ASAP lol
I vote gunmetal. It’s subjective, but black wheels are kind of uninteresting to me and also played out. They look good on a murdered out vehicle but that’s about it IMO.
This is my personal favorite, looks-wise, since it is a replica of the factory fishing concept rack that Ford never released… doesn’t look like it came out of a metal-fab shop like everything else. It’s probably Chinese junk though and who knows how much weight it actually supports. The issue...
Sounds like u need the factory rock rails then get steps to take on/off of those. You can find the rock rails cheap/easy on Facebook marketplace at this point.
To me seems kind of silly to buy a Badlands trim and then take away from its off-road capability by removing the rock rails. I would deff just go with the add-on steps like others mentioned. There are cheap options, but I like to maintain a factory appearance so the Ford Performance ones look...
That’s the one slight downfall but the fact I can take the rack on/off the hitch in a matter of seconds and have a completely unimpeded convertible for the 99% of time I don’t need a roof rack more than makes up for that. But in reality I don’t ever have the rear windows in my softtop once the...
I mean yeah I guess lots of weight for legit overlander setups could be a reason to swap but obviously you are going to downgrade normal ride quality drastically with whatever you do. To me it’s not worth having all the junk that adds weight all the time. If I’m not going out on a long trip I’m...
My .02 is to simply not do it and leave it the way the highly-paid engineers designed the system to work lol. I will never understand how people with a factory Sas setup (especially with HOSS 3.0) find a need to change it outside of maybe swapping for better 35” tires.
I really don’t trust anybody to be honest, but at least the dealership is on the hook for fixing their screw-ups and since these shocks are factory parts dealership work will not void the warranty. Like I was saying, I plan on doing it myself to save the money anyways, but since I still have...
I am very happy with the Trektop I switched to. People don’t like how it doesn’t fold ALL the way back, but that design choice is why its windows don’t get wavy and has a much better overall fit and finish. Much faster to remove/install windows and such too for safari mode.
I bought a set off fb market, still need to get with my brother to install them (he’s a mechanic with all the needed tools). I don’t plan on running tires over 33” so just wanted another 1” or so of lift since base ground clearance is a bit lowish for mid-level trails I ride sometimes. Asked the...
Single crossbar that mounts to the windshield locations so I can use it with a hitch mounted crossbar and never have to worry about removing a rack when I want my top on/off. Can’t believe these are not more available at this point.
I would say a brake controller not necessary for occasionally pulling around 3000 lbs and sounds like u won’t really even be doing that. Nice to have, but if you dont need to tow all the time or regularly in inclement weather I don’t think you’ll really have an issue. I pull about 2500-3000 lbs...
Awesome, thanks!
I ordered some today -
The part numbers for the non-sas steel rear bumper end caps are M2DZ-17F774-CD & M2DZ-17F774-CC in case anybody else needs them.
Are there special bumper endcaps for non-sas broncos? I have a sas takeoff and wondering if all I need to do is remove the sas caps or if they will need replaced with something else.
I picked up a steel rear bumper takeoff on the cheap this week but I don't have sensors on my vehicle so needed to figure out the best way to plug the holes. I couldn't find any threads on this topic, so I figured I'd share a solution that works great. Product links are below in case anybody...
