YES!!!!!
And this is for the MT Only.......
We've had threads in the past on this forum discussing what type of E-Brake the Bronco would have and the same comments would come up..... "the electrical e-brake will be fine or work better or hill assist will do that for you..." but the thing...
So..... you work withing the decision making group at Ford????
If not, You Don't Know the answer and you're just Speculating....... so, just let it go....
How hard is it to run a top through the paint line? The way things are going, most of the Broncos will be Built To Order, so when a particular color choice is made, it's painted. It's going to be the process for a while, so why not let it be an Orderable Option??????
My 2007 Mercury Mariner has a 3501 lbs. tow rating. If that's all that the Bronco can safely tow, the engineers failed! My suspicion, as it has been mentioned several times before on this forum is that the 3500 lbs tow rating listed was just as a "Place Holder".
Time will tell and before all...
Nope! At this stage in the game I'd wait for the next gen Ranger to see what engine options it will have, plus I personally will not buy a Direct Injection only engine. <-(My money, my choice.)
I'm still in the 2.7L w/MT camp.
I've done a majority of the wrenching on my vehicles over the last 40 years. I'm not going to spend "my" money on an engine that has a "known" issue. If FoMoCo would add PI to the 2.3L, then it would be a viable choice "for me".
As for wanting the MT, well...
Both appear to be mounted low and it was discussed on the last page of this post: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/pics-of-2-3l-engine-underhood-compartment-in-2021-bronco.5039/page-8#post-192258
Just an fyi.... I found this by using the Search function.... just saying....
Where I work (a company Much Older than FoMoCo) for a new product, there must be X amount of Service/Spare Parts On Hand before we will release the new product.
For the parts that are considered "Common" (used on other products already produced), there will be no issues. The "Unique" (only...
Yes, I know!!!
All that I can think of is that FoMoCo had the 3500lbs as a "placeholder" for tow ratings and that they are still sorting it out. Hopefully what is being tested here is the Heavy Duty Tow Package with Brake Controller and they are doing it with the 2D as it would be a worst case.
Ok.... as The Pope... I've Got To Chime In..... lol....
Go and Rent a Hellcat. Drive it for a few days and on a variety of roads.
Then after you've returned it, take 5 days to think it over. Make you decision on the 6th day. Then you can rest on the 7th Day.
