I wanted to know the length to see what the CV angle would be at full droop. I believe on the King units AccuTune was adding a internal spacer to limit extended length at full droop. I am positive they are on top of this. I was just curious.
I have done what you are asking. Using this picture as reference as it was the vehicle used. The stance was ~ 1.25" higher in the rear with the clip set in the lowest position. The front, to be level was set at the second from the bottom position. The ride was very good. I reverted back to the...
I don't think you are missing anything. I am the one most likely missing something. I believe a gentleman had already stated the steering angle issue as a constraint in a previous post. I had just happen to be speaking to a Ford Performance engineer and I had asked why the difference in a NON...
It is my understanding that the NON SAS Badlands has a different steering angle than the models that are currently supported by Ford Performance. As previously stated Ford Performance is coming out with the ability to include the NON SAS Badlands. My question is, would there or is there an issue...
For the front assembly you will need to remove from the vehicle and compress the spring to change the c-clip position. On the rear I was able to use a spring compressor and make a c-clip adjustment without removal. I was very surprised i ended with the rear assembly c-clip set at the bottom groove.
Bilstein 6100, rear clip is set at the lowest groove, Front is set on the fourth groove from the bottom. On flat ground it has a one half inch rake, taller in the rear.
The Icon tie rod boots are sized for the Hoss 2.0 steering gear and the boot flange is quit a bit smaller on Hoss 2.0 unit. Mechanically they are fine, it will be whether you can stretch the boot over the Hoss 3.0 flange. If you are buying the billet cap for the Hoss 2.0 then there is no issue.
You are going to have a heck of a time trying to stretch those Icon boots over the Hoss 3.0 flange. They are made for the Hoss 2.0 and they are quite a bit smaller. I have both on the bench right now and it is very difficult to get them to stretch. I have even purchased two sets of replacement...
I had received an email as well stating that they were making changes to the boot mounting flange as well. This will solve the problem I was having. A somewhat easy machining fix on their part. A difficult process to have recognized as an issue. I wonder how many were shipped out? If a person...
I purchased a new Ford OEM NB3Z-3504-M steering rack. The Weld 74 billet cap lip where the tie rod boot is clamped to is 0.105" smaller than the cap you remove from the rack. Factory rack lip on both sides is 2.855" diameter while the Weld 74 is 2.750" diameter. Can it be used, probably. Is it...
