It might take 90 days to get scheduled and built but it won’t be scheduled until all the buildable reservations from MY21 that got pushed to MY22 ahead of you are completed which at the moment will take a minimum of 6 months.
You won’t be able to paint your roof after the fact due to the...
Whatever you decide, you need to place your order ASAP. I placed mine in April and everyone on here believes it won’t arrive until the end of the MY22 deliveries.
Your second option sounds like you should just wait for the base manual Sasquatch option that may come. Keep in mind the 2dr will...
That’s not how probabilities work... you’re supposed to multiply the numbers in the first column to get the probability of a vehicle with all your options built and even then it’s not perfect because you still have your order placement in line.
so for your first example:
OBX, 2D, 2.7, MIC, TOW...
Don’t make sacrifices or choices based on hauling your friends. My dad said it was his biggest regret when he bought an explorer when he was younger.
From the start my ideology has been: order what you want, don’t make sacrifices due to these constraints.
Short and simple, if Ford gets the components to schedule vehicles with the tow package, they will use those parts as soon as possible. So even if you’re next in line without it, you’ll be...
I’d be surprised if a dealer personally drove anything off a transport truck ever. When I worked at a dealership a driver drove a fusion off the trailer incorrectly, front bumper was crushed and removed at the past second as it caught the trailer end or fell off the ramp. I felt bad but the...
This is all speculation in the end because someone else on one of my posts said 9 months and they won’t sell them until they can get gauaranteed models back from the plant to replace it.
Dealers near me told us that the Mach-E only had to be held for 60 days before they could sell it. So who...
Hahaha. Yeah that was going to be my next question, if Ford is trying to compete with Jeep 10k units per month isn’t going to cut it (although it definitely steals some of their market share).
As someone who is in Aerospace manufacturing, I can definitely see how some of their parts could have...
These are most likely the dealer show cars they are delivering this month. Typically, Ford allows them to be sold after 60 days on the lot (that’s how it was with the Mach E). So they will have a VIN and they will end up listed as in their inventory.
This is why they should give us the option to accept delivery without the top with a later date delivery for it. Honestly my 2dr will probably never have the hard top on it after delivery...I plan to get the bestop soft top for it and SoCal rains 10 days/yr max...
I don’t know how Ford manages their contracts but my company manufactures aircraft and we lock in pricing for 5yrs - sounds crazy but suppliers commit to it. Some add adjustments at year 2-3 or throughout but the pricing is locked in ahead of time whether they lose money or make money (not often...
I don’t think you truly moved forward in line, they still have their place, their order is just on hold. So right now if they could build a 99’d order, they won’t it will go to you but when they remove their hold and the order can be built, they will get there’s first.
They didn’t lose their...
The short term solutions are all so stupid though it’s so hard to get behind one. Any money I spend on those would be money I could’ve put down on the Bronco.
Option 1: buy used - yeah right the market is BS right now on that front I’m not buying a 100k mi car for $10K, it’s ridiculous. The...
I understand but I was also reading today the 2dr hard tops might not be as constrained as the 4dr hard tops. I mean in theory they’re less material and should be easier/quicker to build.
If they gave the option I would take delivery without the hard top and wait for it to be delivered later...
Yeah I asked them all that and that’s when they just told me my shot in line. They didn’t tell me out of how many or how many allocations they received. They did tell me I’m a MY22 but I already figured that at the least due to my reservation date and build.
I half think they just gave me a random number because they are one of the top 25 dealers in the US by volume so there’s no way in my mind they don’t have at least 100-150 orders.
I’ve been reading comments saying that they expect a MY23/2023 delivery. Is this serious or are people joking?
I placed an order in April (very late obviously) so I don’t expect mine soon but I can’t wait until October 2022 or later. I currently have no car and walk everywhere including...
