Oh, yeah, SxSs are totally sweet and an absolute blast. But for the events and stuff I do I need something street legal, which they can't be in Canada I'm afraid. So I have my Pajero Evolution which does the trick but it's getting real hard to find parts for a 20+ year old Mitsubishi and I'd...
Preach. Give me something that flies over the washboard and soaks up the ruts and bumps when you're bombing down a forest road. Give me a Raptor in a 2 door SUV shell. They sell Raptors as fast as they can make them, no reason that same sort of image can't sell the Bronco. Off road image does...
Harley is the best example of this you could have possibly brought up. They are WORSE than basically every competitor on every single metric. Heavier, slower, less comfortable. And yet people flock to them because they have image.
Does the Bronco need to match the Wrangler spec for spec and...
I know the removable roof stuff might have most people excited, but the BIG news for me is there's no screen sticking up out of the dash! Thank goodness.
I don't think it's all that unpopular an opinion for those who want an auto. If the Bronco was auto only I'd want more center console real estate with a dial for shifting and then paddle shifters for a manual shift mode.
However, given we are pretty sure it'll have a manual transmission as an...
It could have a frameless rear window that rolls down into the swinggate with the surround being part of the roof. So you just roll it down and then pull the top off.
Having only had Japanese SUVs with swinggates previously, but a pickup truck before that, I quite like the swinggate. It's quick and easy to get stuff in and out and there's only one thing to open (rather than swinging a tire out of the way and then a gate down)

Michigan assembly will be constructing "Hoods and Swinggates" for the Bronco according to the doc Stampede shared.
Not conclusive, certainly, but I'm inclined to believe that we'll be seeing an ecosport/defender style swinggate.
Raptors have a forward camera for seeing what's right in front of the truck when off-roading, but as far as I know it doesn't do any recording, at least not in stock form.
There was this thread about interior stuff, but it wasn't about the dashboard specifically:

Personally I really dislike portrait oriented screens, I hope to see a landscape screen at least as an option...
I like the low first gear, but in that pattern 1 and 2 are really really close together (you don't have 2 on the line graph but it would be between reverse and 1st).
I feel like 2-7 would need to be shifted way up, then have 5th as your 1:1 and 2 overdrives. Maybe 2nd around 3:1, and shift...
We heard about something like that back when there was a thing about some of the electronic systems:

Something called 'Adventure Capture' is coming to the...
Welcome to the board! You and I are looking for similar things, I'm looking for a small off-road high performance suv to replace my 97 Pajero Evolution. Nice to have another person on here with similar desires among the rock crawlers and trail drivers.
Plus, throttle by wire allows for:
cruise control entirely in software without extra components
different throttle mappings for different drive modes
Launch control (not really relevant to Bronco, but still)
