  1. Turn Offroad Portals

Good question, I may need to get them to clarify.
  2. Turn Offroad Portals

I reached out to Turn off road today and they told me their tie rods do work with the Hoss 3.0 steering rack but you have to shim them, so that's good.
  3. Turn Offroad Portals

Nice, what wheel size and offset are you using?
  4. Turn Offroad Portals

So forget the portals, if one was to just run some beefy 37x13.50r17 tires with like 17x9 -12mm offset wheels and a Dobinson MRR or any other lift kit. If you wanted to upgrade you gear ratio would you choose the 5.13 or 5.38 gear ratio? Stock setup is 4.7 with Sasquatch.
  5. Turn Offroad Portals

The original question wasn't whether Hoss 3.0 could be run with portals but more so whether it could be run with the steering tie rods that Turn Off Road actually makes that's all. It was about their steering upgrade nothing more just tie rods. I don't doubt their portals, I actually like them I...
  6. Turn Offroad Portals

well it was true they did have the tie rods and that was their only steering upgrade, I don't think that's good enough but whatever.
  7. Turn Offroad Portals

Turn Offroad makes portals but besides the tie rods they got they don't do anything else to improve steering, I guess it's up to you to figure that out. Maybe they will do something in the future, I just think that 74weld rack is so damn expensive almost 6k.
  8. Turn Offroad Portals

I was on their site and they do make tie rods.
  9. Turn Offroad Portals

I was hoping Turn Offroad would make their own beefed up steering rack kind of like the way 74 weld did and make it cheaper but it looks like maybe best way is to get the 74weld rack if you are going to run the portals.
  10. Turn Offroad Portals

I was just asking more and it said it's not always about the inner threading either. Some brands like Iconbtie rods may be used on both racks but others may not be. The core reason one brand tie rod is compatible across multiple racks while the other isn't comes down to how they designed their...
  11. Turn Offroad Portals

That is what I initially thought and had a conversation with chat GPT and it said not all tie rods are compatible with 3.0 and vice versa so not sure how reliable that thing is as it always contradicts itself but that's what it said.
  12. Turn Offroad Portals

I read somewhere a few days ago that if you upgrade to a 3.0 rack then these portals with the new tie rods they have will not work with the 3.0 rack only the 2.0. I find that very strange that they don't have compatibility with both racks. Again, not sure if true but that's what I read. Well I...
  13. Turn Offroad Portals

    That's my whole point dude.
  14. Turn Offroad Portals

Did you read what I said, you can't upgrade to 3.0 rack because the 3.0 rack isn't compatible with those portals, they only work with the Hoss 2.0 steering rack . At least that's what I read somewhere, it should be confirmed. Stop acting like a bitch on a period.
  15. Turn Offroad Portals

what do you mean what is my concern, you are widening the track and increasing the unsprung weight while still on the hoss 2.0 stock steering rack, you would at an absolute minimum have to go with Hoss 3.0 steering rack. 74Weld does Hoss 3.0 with a beefed up supporting components on the same...
  16. Turn Offroad Portals

My concern is that the wide scrub radius steering has not been fixed with these portals. The track width is the same as 74weld portals but no Hoss 3.0 reinforced steering upgrade, which a recipe for a failure. These portals only work with hoss 2.0, not hoss 3.0 steering rack, this is an issue...
  17. Choosing new tires - 37 x 12.5 or 37 x 13.5?

Im thinking about going with the Method 703s in 17x9 wheel size at a -12mm offset which will give me the 4.50 backspace which is more than enough to clear suspension components when running a 37x13.50r17 tire and possibly the ability to run 38x13.50r17s in the future. I plan to run the jks...
  18. Ride Shocks

Hmmm Maybe it's time to get that Stage 3A with Ride Shocks lol. I bought all this camping gear and it seems like I am already exceeding my 918 lb stock payload capacity by 200 lbs and didn't even do a single mod to the vehicle.
  19. Who put 37s on their Sasquatch no lift?

So if you want to run ultra wide 37s like 37x13.5r17 Toyo Open Country MTs whose true width is 14.6 inches measured on an 11 inch wheel as most are measured on 11 inch wheel, well if you mount this tire on a 17x9 inch wheel you usually lose about 0.2 inches for every 0.5 inches you reduce your...
